I have both of these. The P365 is my concealed carry choice when I need to go smaller. The Glock 19 typically stays by my bedside unless it’s cold and I can conceal it easier under a jacket. I have an IWB holster for both. Go to a local range and rent the ones you like the best before you buy. You might get in there and like one more than the other.

While you’re trying those out I’d add the fn 509 to the list.
I love mine.

Go to a range that will allow you to "rent" a gun and try it before you buy.

Sig P320 X-5 Legion is the best handgun on the current market. Add the Delta Point Pro optic.

You can never go wrong with a Glock 19/17 for home defense.

Glock 43X is a good reliable carry. I have four of them. I carry the Kimber Ultra Carry II stainless in 45acp. Its a bit heavy but I like it.

I have the Sig 365XL....not really sold on it

Springfield XD9. I held it and and glock 17 one after another and the Springfield was much more comfortable.

I just got the compact version of it and it shoots much more rough than it’s big brother. Would recommend full size for home defense.

For a G19 alternative the CZ P-07 is awesome if you can find one in stock. They make a suppressor ready model if you choose to go that route.

It might be the best shooter I’ve handled that wasn’t a 1911.

If you wanna make someone shite down both legs....get you a 1911.

I don't go to Memphis without it.

Sig Sauer P320

Just got one a few months back, and I absolutely love it. I've always shot S&W and have an M&P Shield as well, but those two are different applications in my opinion (carry vs service). I will say this, if you've got extensive experience with a S&W, the Sig is going to give you a much better transfer for your grip. The angle on a Glock is very specific to a Glock and can sometimes cause people issues trying to switch. If you've always shot a Glock, get a Glock.

I love almost all guns. We all have different experience & skills. No 2 people should have identical preferences. Kinda like beer...

That said for my giant Sasquatch hands conceal Ruger Max 9 & home defense Walther PDP. My PDP is the best feeling gun I've ever shot. Great trigger! My Colt 1911 is just behind it.

Shot a buddies hk p30 today and the night sights on it are surprisingly badass (lit up super bright in a dark room). It is SA/DA with a safety, hammer, and decocker. Its size makes it not really a good choice for carry but I'm really liking the trigger and how it feels shooting it so that might be my next purchase. They make a more compact version I believe (possibly without a safety (just a decocker).

Also, really liking the CZ 75 P series with the Omega trigger and what I'm reading about them. May want to look into them, as I believe they make compact versions as well, that also might be my next purchase.

That is all to say if you like hammers and decockers like I do. I like a striker/internal hammer, but I love a sa/da hammer pistol.

ETA: this hk p30 was the one that comes with 3 mags, all 17+1 in 9mm. Looks identical to the HK45, except its a 9.

My Glock 17 is the best shooting handgun I've ever shot. Also have the Canik and love it too. You can't go wrong with any on your list. For home defense an assault shotgun is likely your best choice.

I don’t want you to take this the wrong way, but if a Glock is the best shooting handgun you ever shot, then your handgun experience is extremely limited.

Glock shoots very, very good but I can name 10 that shoot better easily.

ETA: I have nothing against Glock. I have several. 17, 34, 19, 19x

Mine is a great shooter also. Just as good as anything else I've shot. I guess I haven't tried to push it out to long ranges to see if anything is better but it's super accurate.

No problem dude! I'm barely a novice, mostly shot POS military M9s. Love the 17 though. I consider a handgun a close quarters combat weapon of last resort.

If I were closer to you I’d love to let you expand your experience with them.

I love shooting and do so quite a bit.

And yes, like you, a handgun is the last thing that I’d grab as well.
