Would love to.

Can you recommend a dealer?

I took the liberty to add some flair.

I think both are great for HD. I just have setup my AR better for HD than most HD shotguns. I will get a 870 soon and Form 1 it though.

Not the case. Career criminals will be calm and more prepared than you. They will be alert, armed, and high on meth. You will be sleepy, confused, and lucky to survive.

Be real man. If you awake and even THINK someone is in your house, you aren't sleepy and confused. You wake up immediately. At least I did. It was a possum in the garbage can but I thought it was an intruder and I was scared and alert as frick. It took me like an hour to get back to sleep bc my heart was racing and I was so awake.

You've been watching too much TV.

There isn't many guns that a civilian can shoot that will "blow a man off his feet"

Jims, Heberts, Bowies, Big Boy Armament, Landrys Guns, etc.

I am using Bowies for my current purchase because they were the only ones that had it in stock. However, I cannot recommend them. The head guy is lacking the full knowledge of how the paperwork is done. I had to spend a few hours on the phone with the state police and the ATF before sending everything in.

Dale at Landrys Guns is very knowledgeable and highly recommended.

Derek at Big Boy Armament is very knowledgeable and spent lots of time on the phone helping me sort out my current mess.

If you shoot a man point blank with a 12 guage hes going on his back.

The "off his feet" comment was strictly shite talk.

Under normal situations, yes. Add stress and danger into any situation and fine motor skills go out the window.

A shotgun you have to charge every shot (if its a pump) and they are very prone to short stroking.

Bought 20 GA semi-auto gas for my wife just for this. Keep 3" 4 shot it in.

I just want her to swing in the right direction and pull the trigger.

Yeah I set mine up for HD too. Instead of a scope I have a red dot sight. I'd like to have a scope on my AR but it set up for close quarters.

I'm not done with the shotgun. I got it a few weeks ago am I'm still working on it.

And it will work perfectly for its intended purpose. I laughed when I saw a tactical SxS at Jims the other day. Then I realized that it would be perfect for women and older children.

Do this test with your wives or SOs. Take them to the range or camp. Give them a pump shotgun and tell them that they are to shoot the target, then rack the pump, and shoot again. Soon as she shoots the first shot, blow an air horn beside her and watch her drop the gun and forget about even racking the slide. You can only load one bullet if youd like.

I was thinking about getting a 930SPX and making it a SBS but I am unsure what that will do to the reliability. I think I have decided that a regular 870 with a 12" or so barrel would work fine.

I have a pretty good friend that was in SWAT. He was shot 4 times by a 9mm at point blank range with one being in the face, one hip, one upper leg and last one in the shin. He told me that the first one was the one that hit him in the face and said it felt like some one punched him. He was more stunned by the bang that the bullet. He still had the awareness to unload his pistol.

Yeah.... You just compared a 9mm to a 12 gauge. I don't know where else to go with this argument

Cool story though. Glad he made it out alive. That's the main reason I'll make my wife carry something bigger than a 9mm

I have no idea what others will think of you but it will prove my point perfectly. Its awesome and fun to practice shooting intruders but completely different when they start shooting back at you.

The day that deer and squirrels start shooting back at me, I will quit hunting.

30 round mag for shotgun was a type slip.

Does the intruder's possile weapon have any bearing on one's possible choice?
