I thought that most of it was owned, 36K is what comes to mind. Then they lease another 10k I thought. Could have it backwards though.

Most of the Louisiana Delta crop land was sold ten years or so ago

Original WRP easement for HB was just shy of 8000 acres. They’ve since enrolled a couple thousand more ac I think.

There is some lease ground but most isn’t school board. The school board lease was in Shad Lake.

New name will be Drunk and Broke.

Weekend hunts will be $350, bring your own dogs, brown it’s down, no 6.5 Creedmoors past the gate.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

My boy John McInnis bought it. Now let's see if they reciprocate all the hunts we took him and his dad on over the years...

Huh, you would think a gumb with that deep of pockets would just buy up a bunch of black belt dirt and create his own. Certainly have cheap enough land prices and good enough habitat/genetics to do something similar in AL.

Wonder if Riley Green has a small stake in it as well?

Louisiana has some of the best dirt in the Southeast. Just need more hunters that let the young ones walk.

As much as I wish this was true given that I lease a lot of land in the black belt, the MS river delta is a step up. Our deer don’t get nearly as heavy, even on very well managed places.

I am well aware of that but if I am spending 30+M on a duck/deer property and I am having to fly to it. I am headed to Kansas or somewhere similar.
