Had my scare with it last week with heat exhaustion. Ambulance called, life flight helicopter landed right around the corner. Cutting grass in my neighborhood as my side hustle. I've never been so scared in my life

It’s going to take you two weeks or more to get over that. Be careful with it.

95 and humid here.

I went to my place to get pumpkin seeds planted this morning.

Before I got there I drank 36 oz of water and another 48 oz while I was there (4.5 hrs).

I've been going semi-nocturnal the past two weeks.

I just woke up and I will go outside here around 7 pm and work until 9 pm. Then I will work in my shop overnight. Then I'll do more outside work from 6 am-10am. Then to bed.

Yesterday I was doing chainsaw work at 6 in the morning. I don't have neighbors, so I'm not worried about making noise at the crack of dawn.

Had a fence contractor coming out to convert a single gate to a metal framed double gate. He asked if he could start at 6am to beat the heat. I told him absolutely but also was going to warn the neighbors. Fortunately they were out of town anyway.

I had a little fight with rabdo a few years ago.

I know this should be common sense, but it's too late to try to hydrate during outdoor work.

I start hydrating wednesday night for saturday/sunday/monday.

Day of, the Gatorade zeros, primes, and water are just to keep the heat at bay :lol. Even still last saturday, my mid mow pee burned like fire.

Awful feeling.

Hotter then hell and stupid humid. I took off the last two days and worked at my farm house. Yesterday about got me. A helper and I ripped out all the landscaping and cleared a fence line of trees. Hat to socks were soaked all day. I couldn’t drink enough water. I did sleep like a baby after a good cold shower.

As far as I know the only person unhappy with it is my wife.

And I tell mine, if she is unhappy with it, she is more than welcome to go out there at 12pm and do it herself.

Only good news is heat has turned my garage into a natural sauna. I go tinker out there after work and have sweated out all the toxins...

Then go get an adult beverage after...

I just quit working outside tearing down an old shed. Time to sleep until 7:40. I'm not working outside in this afternoon heat.
