Historically, the ATF has approved suppressor applications as they arrive–what Williams called a “first in, first out” system. This sounds fair, but it means that a delay for someone at the front of the line halts the process for everyone behind them.

Because the ATF is aware that if Trump is elected, there is a massive chance that approval for suppressors as well as approval by the ATF in general might be brought to the Supreme Court. Only one way for them to have a list is if they approve every single form submitted.

I’d like to think that they are scared for their jobs if trump gets elected, but that has, historically, never had any impact. I’d also like to think that they see the benefit of quiteing the sound of a gunshot and are making the logical decision that it is in people’s best interest to not damage their hearing. I’d like to think my wife likes me for my big dick, but many things I’d like to believe, simply aren’t true.
The truth here is that the guy probably found an easy way to improve the process and will likely be canned for doing it.
Suppressors, full auto, and short barrels should have never been regulated in the first place. Delete the nfa and all other laws that infringe upon my constitutional rights.

There's a prevailing thought that we might go back to pre NFA given the recent opinions from the SC on firearm accessories.
If so, the short wait times are a money grab.
And if this is a money grab, these fricks have slow walked citizens for years over unconstitutional edicts.

I just got an approval back yesterday. Took 5 days. My last one took 14 months. It's outrageous I have to pay a tax and have to wait on something that literally is a hearing safety device.

You do remember that guy was responsible for the bump stock ban right?

It's not so much Trump, its more or less the way the Supreme Court has been voting. If Trump were to get another 4 years, I could absolutely see one or 2 of the Justices retiring or stepping down. Justice and Alito are both into their 70s and both Sotomayer and Roberts are 69. If Republicans can keep their 6 majority or extend to 7 by chance, you may say a lot more aggressive of a push on certain subjects, one being ATF's federal control.
