can-am good to go fast, junk for reliability. rzr 900 is far superior in reliability and is just as fast in the woods or on a track. rzr handles and jumps better

Can't go wrong with the Ranger. I have a ranger 800 and if I would of know how much i would use it and like it i would of purchased it 10 years ago. I will never go back to a 4wheeler. I also have a Jeep and both have + and - but if i had to keep only one the Jeep would have a for sale sign in it tonight.

I just don't understand as to why people buy those side by side POS. Why not just buy a good jeep? Hell,as much as those POS people are buying, one could buy a used jeep in very good shape at same price and would be able to use it on the road too!

Many benefits to SxS's, lightwieght, narrow, dump beds, fuel effiecient. I know several from the jeep community that have sold their comp rigs and replaced with side by sides

I'll be trailering this to the duck camp that's about 2hrs away and using it there. Where I'll go with this a Jeep can't go (it's too wide). I'll also be using this in my yard extensively pulling my trailer with stuff on it. And lastly, I'll be using it running around the neighborhood with the kids and taking it to the pool, etc.

I just don't have interest in a Jeep.

Alright - I got the Ranger 500 EFI Friday and played with it quite a bit over the weekend.

I haven't had it long enough to find cons yet (other than the price which isn't bad) but will try to let you know if I do

Pros:
1: Really like the size (it's the new Midsize). It's said that it will fit in the bed of a truck but mine has a short bed on it.

2: It has a pretty tight turning radius. Almost as tight as the 4 wheeler.

3: I was worried the engine would be a little weak with just 32 hps but that's not the case. I've been pleasantly surprised with the engine.

4: Good size fuel tank (8.8 gallons)

5: Really like the differential (single wheel pull, both back wheels, and AWD)

6: Everything is pretty easy to get to on it. I most of the work and upkeep myself so it will definately be easier to work on it.

This isn't mine but it's what it looks like:

I thought Jeeps were mainly used to ferry 16 year old girls to and from catholic schools. Wait, she just hit a speed bump, time to rebuild the transmission.

After hunting one weekend in a side by side I will never go back to a fourwheeler ever again. No comparison. More room and the side by side is much safer going up and down steep hills.

Side by side I wouldn't the Ranger 500 or the 800. I want one to take to Colorado elk hunting. They work great up there.

Best option for up here for sure. Four wheelers turn over way too easy. The side x sides will eat up terrain a four wheeler can't touch.

This look like something a 16 year old would drive?

A few people got the Ranger 900 Browning editions at my camp this past weekend. They seemed to be the best one I've been around. Big bed on them too. I'd have a hard time getting anything else but them by now after being around artic cats and razr and hondas.
