I just damn near pissed myself.
I heard some running and looked over my left shoulder and a doe was running straight at me and then veered away when she got about 20’ from me. She was being chased by a spike.

I'm hunting a food plot with my 30-06. Poor planning for me today. Arrived late, forgot my flashlight and the wind is blowing my scent out directly over the field. I'm either not going to see anything or going to have a long night of blood trailing ahead of me.

I’m mostly a lurker here but I just arrowed a really tall 6 point without brow tines. I think I lunged him. As soon as I quit shaking I’m going look for blood and let him be for a while. I’m typing this to settle down so that I don’t fall out fall out of the tree.

Shot what looked to be a decent 7-8pt this morning quartering toward me. Hit chest/ neck area. Dropped, spun around a few times got up and ran off. Looked for +3 hours, no blood. Disappointing to say the least

Well my target buck just walked by my box stand that I normally hunt. I guess he didn’t want acorns this afternoon. If he turns back and walks my way he will be directly downwind from me.
I’ve watched and hunted this buck for two seasons and I’ve only seen him on the hoof once. He is literally driving me crazy!

Found my arrow. Only went in about 4-5 inches. Mechanical broadhead didn’t expand.
