My best naps growing up we’re on the floor of a box stand. One time my uncle didn’t wake me until he shot a doe. I still have PTSD

Franklin Co
Daughter on youth hunt with7mm-08
Tenfoe armed with community dark roast and a pair of binoculars
Judging by the amount of times she asked to shoot a crow id say any legal deer is going to get shot.

Saw a decent 3 year old chasing a doe around but nothing in range this morning. Hope that this evening let's little man take first blood of the year.

Didn’t even get time to make a post this mornin..
Opening day of gun season. Took Mrs. Chief out. Sat in a double ladder over a little food plot on the powerline running through our property. She shot her first buck a couple minutes after opening light. Don’t think I’ve had a better time in a tree. She shot it with her grandpa’s 30-06. Pretty special day. Bourbon and backstrap tonight. Y’all have a good one!

Nice shoot MillerMan. I spy some oversized lips in that pile though.

East side straps look the same btw.

Nothing this morning. Got run out of the stand this evening by 5000 wasps.

Colder weather can’t get here soon enough.

Sweating my arse off in a ladder stand in Montpelier. Ready for some cold weather. Seeing some light random scraping on the main trail at least

Box blind over 200 acres of standing beans. Opening day of youth with the little man. 75 degrees outside, about 7000 inside the blind, really tempted to open some windows

82 this afternoon and the pop up feels like 102. Daughter is in pants and says she’s cold.

Thankfully I made a giant ranch water to sip this evening. Good luck everyone!

Eagle lake is a duck hunting paradise. Not much left with the development of the Katy prairie.

Son's first buck. He nearly went to pieces about three different times. But he eventually pulled himself together and made a perfect shot. Proud papa.

Why is your son wearing Capri pants?

Now he has to hear his buddies talk about his capris when he shot his first dear for the next 60 years.
