Area 7 marsh
Pipeline levee stand
55 but the 10 mph east wind makes it colder
7 mag A-Bolt

Had a young 6 point at 30 yards 30 minutes ago. I keep some corn scattered on the levee for pigs but this little knucklehead walked right thru it without even thinking about nibbling. They moving for sure- both bro in laws with me have each seen 4. Good luck baws

Breezy and 40
Scrapes galore
Tough hunting right now, seemed to be locked down
Today should be good before the front tomorrow….
Enjoy the woods!

Shot him at 6:40, 175 yards, ran 30.

Solo, fed for at least 10 minutes before I could make out what he was, thought he was about duck back in the woods, turns out he was probably working a scrape. Not the one I’ve been after, but best one I’ve shot in a while.

We are having the same issue down here. Tons of small spikes at several of our stands on both sides of the bayou. The next 3 - 4 years could really be special.

I’ve seen 6 does. All moving pretty quick but nothing trailing. And a pair of coyotes that squeaked through.

Congrats. Fine buck. 3 year old 8 point just worked a scrape in front of a camera, then chased a doe.

Hoyt and the saddle in a Mulberry next to the river.

Saw what looked to be Hogzilla right after daylight. Could have been a bear, but I'm almost positive it was a hog. Was 60+ yards though the thick stuff.

Congrats, Citica! Very nice deer.

Out back in Ouachita parish.
The Good Lord provided a doe yesterday at 10:30am so I got meat for the freezer. Decided to sleep in and got on the stand at 9am. Brother in law saw chasing about an hour ago but hard to regret getting a full night’s rest for a change.

Last solo hunt. No sunrise action so I'm expecting to leave empty handed, but I'll stay up until 1pm and hope. But my oldest son got his first earlier this season, I got 2 that'll eat. Can't say that isn't all I hope for every year. Still might get him out on the youth hunt next weekend, but with highs in the 30s it might not happen. Y'all keep at em!
