I got Bijou out of Lazy Moon Kennels in Ashdown, AR. Not sure if they're still around or not.

Is the gate around the Christmas tree for him or the kids?

Handsome dog Coco.
We had about 6-8" of snow yesterday which is great. I can now see the dog when he goes out to pee at night.

You guys know of anyone with started/finished Boykins?

Greg Copeland with Texas Trace was doing some of this. A lot of it may have been, buy a puppy from him and you take it home at 8-12 mos. you’d have to call and ask him.

I do a lot of upland and a little duck hunting. A finished do usually runs between 4-6k based on breed. Iowa Pointing Labs is between 5-6 and a good English Setter is between 3.5-4.5k.
Most of the guys I hunt with have GSP/DK or Drahthaars. I’m not interested in them.

Beautiful dog. Where did you get yours from?

I shot a deer and we drug it 100 yards. Started the dog where the deer fell and got him real excited, he trailed it straight to the deer with no assistance.
On duck hunts I’ve been on have gotten a lot of positive remarks on the dogs nose.
I think with training they’d make excellent tracking dogs.

I'm in the market also. Over the years they've been one of the most versatile hunting dogs I've seen. I see folks use them as retrievers and flushers for fall turkey. They're pretty easy to find here in SC.
