I was one of the OBers at Chuck e Cheese that day, nervous as hell..
We ended up donating quite a bit of money for that game warden that had been recently shot

I also remember seeing an identical one at a HomeGoods or TJ Maxx a year or two later. Some company bought them and slapped a logo on them. I went to their website and prices were more than double what all us OB crowd paid. Still have my white 37 and it’s seen a ton of use.

I was just going to buy a few extra coolers, I either didn’t pay anything or it was like 20-40 bucks so no big deal. I didn’t get to the place so my fault.
I was looking on the alibaba app and you can just do all this shite wholesale now. These type of coolers are like 50 bucks and up can customize in lots of 100 or more.
Maybe the way to go.

Political forum would be better for sure.

I bought my all my groomsmen a cooler. I have a couple of them still.

I bought two and they're still going strong. Replaced latches on the 37 and it looks like it got drug down the highway.
Said I'd never pay the crazy retail prices for a yeti, but very pleased that I took part. $700 of coolers for 190 ain't bad.

Baby boomer here reading this during cocktail hour and yall might as well be talking Cambodian Code or mandarin to me. After 4 pages I still dont catch on. And happy for it. Most threads are for sheep.
But id put my igloo with gallon saltwater jugs and a space blanket up against any Chinee or tic toc
Basement warrior, mall boy cooler.
But please carry on as it is an interesting thread. Love independent thinking even if its not my opinion. Hate the TMZ sheep.

a space blanket
sounds like you're kinda shitfaced right now but have you found the radiant barrier of the space blanket helpful in keeping ice? I mean it makes some sense certainly if its kept out in the sun. I like white coolers because of the lower heat gain when out in the sun but even white will get pretty hot.

You not getting anything from China these days
Posted on 10/3/24 at 5:29 pm to Boston911
Around that same time I was in talks with a Chinese company. Had a 500 cooler order with Purple/Gold, Black/orange, baby blue/yellow and Black/gold. Couldn't pull trigger cause that was around time everyone was starting to sell them cheap. Still have the purple and gold sample they sent me. Use it regularly

A guy goes to China once or twice a year and has good shipped over here.
Toured a factory where they make either Yeti or RTIC. Worked out a deal where he could get them shipped over here. Cost at the time was $5,000 or less for the container shipping. Prices of the coolers ranged from $75 to $130 depending on size. They came in either white or a dull military green.
SO a bunch of us ordered them. He arrived with them at a warehouse in either BR or New Orleans. Of course the OB made it a party. Fun times for all.
He got shut down on here because Chicken has sponsors and well, if you want to sell stuff here....... you have to pay for it, of course. But it was a fun one time deal.

If I remember correctly on the first shipment they were $130. The 110 qt was $140 and the 37 qt were $70.

Iam serious. Ive loaded my igloo wheeled cooler with two hallon jugs of frozen icewater, two bags of regular ice, frozen gumbo, , shrimp, meats, water, cheese etc all inside the cooler that i lined with a $8 space blanket and even the bags of ice were still good after 3 days in a car ride. Saktwater ice is lower than 32 degrees and the space blanket works great. As good as a Yeti.

Interesting. You're putting the bag inside the cooler and the frozen goods inside the bag? I was thinking you were putting the whole cooler inside the space bag/blanket.

I found the idea online by the DIY crowd and was surprised at how well it worked. And a big igloo or coleman seems to have more room inside it than a Yeti.

Well I imagine without the extra insulation, they do have more room. They also aren't heavy as sin like a rotomolded.

Well this is my new way to pack a cooler for major hunting or fishing or camping trips. Cheap and IMO better than Yeti and similar. Cant speak to the coolers of the OP.
