The most telling are the abstentions:
Bamburg
Boyer
Bryant
Butler
Carrier
Carter, R.
Chassion
Echols
Henry, C.
Knox
Newell
Young
Interesting, on the bill just before HB 855, the only Representatives that were absent were those in bold. Not saying the rest specifically abstained, but it smells fishy.

Huge fricking disappointment that HB 855 didn't pass. Even if it did, it would certainly not been signed by Landry (POS).
I emailed the two representatives in my parish who voted against the bill - doubtful I'll get a response.
Everyone needs to keep top of mind who voted against Louisiana sportsman in 2027.

Landry wouldn’t need to sign it- if it passes the senate, he can let it sit and it becomes law without his signature.
Huge disappointment on 855.
I just cannot wait until we can find an actual replacement for Landry who cares about this state.

That’s part of my point; why don’t more people know? Apathy includes people not sharing information, publicizing it, promoting it, asking others to join in commenting, being passionate about what they (should) care about.

Just contacted my rep who voted no. He also lives in my subdivision, I can't wait to see him when I walk my dog.

Please report back. I'd love to hear the defense for the vote against it

don’t just email them, call them. While it wasn’t surprising, it was disappointing. and yes, Landry is behind the scenes fighting it. He has taken close to a million dollars from these guys and likely more that is not easily traced.

Wish I was suprised a little that they failed.... but I am not.
Our State literally does not care about natural resources at all. Look at the bill protecting people from "eminent domain" for carbon capture that just failed as well

Just like we will find a unicorn getting struck by lightning with a winning power ball ticket

My suspicion is that the 10 that went peace out were threatened by Landry, as were many that voted Nay. The line item Veto EWE gave himself in the constitutional rewrite on his watch gives the Governor almost unprecedented power to bully legislators. Summons them to the Fourth Floor and threatens to cancel pet projects in their districts if they don’t see things his way.
This way, he puts on his camo come reelection and tells us what a friend of Sportsman he is, hoping we forget the $750,000 Omega gave him to betray us.
Fat Billy also took time out from canceling diversion projects to strong arm a few wavering votes to go with the Commercials. He’s always been in their pockets.
Every other state has tossed these rapists, good old Louisiana once again showing why we are always last at everything.

We're not forgetting this time. Every single Representative that voted against this bill should be put on notice. Fall of 2027 isn't too far away.

I don't know in this case specifically, but this is 100% how the Governor behaves.
