What would y'all consider a good price for a 2016 PA14 in good condition ?

Aren't they $3500 new? If so I'm guessing $3k used?

Yakima. I've used the Mako Saddles, Hully Rollers, Kayak stackers and Aero Saddles. Prefer 4 Aero saddles to any other combo. Easy to slide yak on and off, and they ride great.

Look to see if Inno makes a rack for your vehicle. I had one for years and it worked great and was much cheaper than the Yakima and Thule options.
On my last truck, I added a Rhino rack; it worked but was just as expensive as the racks you will find locally.
Between the Yakima and Thule racks you will find around town, i prefer the rectangular Thule crossbars over the round Yakima ones. It makes a difference depending on the accessories you are using. I had Yakima bars on a trailer with J racks for the kayaks... damn things kept slipping on the crossbars due to the round bars. Just something to think about

How important is a reverse feature on these things? Buying a used hobie only saves $500 tops.. is it worth it or just go new and get 2017 with reverse?

Reverse is not as huge if you have to reach down and pull a cord. Hands free reverse is huge for me and I will forever preach that.

Ok gotcha. The one I'm eyeing has power pole included also so that's kinda clutch.

Anybody with a native propel have any trouble loosening the lower portion of the drive? Mine has become loud and squeaks some so i bought some grease and a spanner wrench. But damn, I can't loosen the bottom half for the life of me!

The first loosen is tough, it gets easier after that. Try tapping on the end of the spanner wrench with a hammer, I have had to do that before to get it loose.

Any of y'all pay for bckfc membership? Are the private forums more active than free? That place seems dead.

Not too much. It's been slow lately.

It's off season for the club as far as tournaments/events go and honestly the popularity of Facebook has put a hurting on a lot forums in my opinion. The FB group stays active.
I still am a paid member of the club though as I enjoy supporting a local organization that supports our hobby/sport

yeah, I'm a member too. It's only what? $25/year? I like the member only pages, but mostly look at the buy/sell/trade
