I did the same thing with the Saints a few years ago. I'm not wasting another Sunday for that foolishness. So far, it's been a great call.

I'll watch every snap of an LSU football game but not emotionally invested in watching the Saints at that same level.
Has anyone decided if they are going to PAC on either Saturday or Sunday? Wind looks good on Sunday and Monday. May take off Monday and hit PAC one day and Reggio the other. Might consider Buras or Hopedale. Have never fished Delacroix or Shell Beach from a kayak

We have a Manta Ray Propel. Only real complaint is how hard it is to move the rudder back and forth for my 11 year old. I have no problems doing it.

thanks Alx, do they have the same drive if so do you find it to be loud?
Posted on 9/13/17 at 8:27 pm to No8Easy2
The drives are all the same. I don't find it to be loud, but I have used no other drive system.

I have a 10' its got its own noises but i just use it to get where im going. Small corrections when drifting dont make much noise. Its not as loud as a trolling motor.

The Propel drives don't like grass, and that is a fact.
With that being said, different pedal drives have their advantages and disadvantages.
The Propel may cause some extra effort in grassy areas, where as the Hobie mirage drive may cause you more issues when impacting a submerged object or the bottom as the fin masts bend easily. The Hobie mirage also doesn't have hands free reverse.
It's all about what's most important to your style of fishing. I personally have fished out of both and am a diehard Native guy. Some people prefer other drives.
At the end of the day, it truly comes down to personal preference and what fits your style the best.

Shell Beach is my main point of entry. Family has a camp by Campo's. I've got a few close spots lined up, and some that are gonna be a hike. I'll start close and work my way to some of the longer trek spots when it cools off.
I'm gonna start taking days off for fishing as my main priority, too.

I just realized, you wouldn't be able to fish the West Cove marsh this weekend, it's closed until noon everyday during teal season.
