I'll be there, this is my first time going and not really sure how the process works is it like a traditional garage sale, all cash?

Thanks, I didn't know that. I'll either go to PAC or Cocodrie.

If you have stuff for sale you can bring it in before Friday and put prices on it, if it sells, which alot of stuff does as long as it's priced fair. You can either take 60% back as cash or 100% as store credit.

People start lining up by the front door, I got there around 630am last time and there was already 15-20 people in front of me, when they opened up at 8am the line was on the sidewalk to the gas station next door, it never got hectic or a pain in the arse or anything. See something you want, grab it and they'll have registers inside. They take cash or credit cards.

I can't sleep late so I figured why the hell not, I ended up buying some Hully Rollers I needed, a bag of old baits, some wooden, for $3 and a pair of Columbia Drainmakers they had on sale for like $55. They usually have good deals on rod and reels and some really good deals on kayaks. I remember there being a PA14 for $1500 there last years.

Is it possible to mount the anchor trolley and the paddle holder on the same side? I've got the paddle holder ordered. Is there one side better than the other for the trolley/paddle holder? I'm right handed if that makes a difference. Thanks guys,

It's just a personal preference really. If you are only going to run an anchor trolley on one side, I'd opt to put the paddle and trolley on opposite sides...just a less chance of the trolley rope tangling around a paddle blade or something.

Do people typically mount a trolley on both sides?

I decided not to mount one at all to keep things simple and have less crap to catch on stuff. I don't feel like I'm missing anything at all.

Yeah its possible. Mine are on the same side. Though I admit that the paddle holder is definitely the least used accessory on my kayak.

Choupique anchor on the front seems to be the easiest solution.

Before my power pole, my anchor trolley was my favorite accessory. One side will be a huge help and allow you to face almost every angle you want to face. Every now and then I couldn't quite position myself the way I wanted and wished I had one on the other side, but it didn't happen enough to ever make me install a second one

So what do you do now? Just deal with not being in perfect position?

In my mind, as I sit in my kayak at night drinking beer (listening to ZZ Top) and thinking about how this is all going to play out, I want to put the paddle holder on the port side and run the anchor trolley on the starboard. That way I can paddle, set it in the holder while I grab my pole to cast, cast, set it in one of the rod holders, then deploy the anchor with my right hand.

The paddle holder I ordered comes as a set of two. So I could put one on each side, but I know that's not a good idea. If it's all about personal preference, and none of this matters, I guess I'll just figure it out. Just wondering if you guys had one side that is decidedly better than the other for the paddle holder and/or the anchor trolley.

Yep just deal with it, or stand up facing backwards and cast into the wind lol
