I currently hunt Togo and the amount of speculation above is comical. My bow kills of 155” from 2023, 160” from 2024 and the 160” velvet deer from this year prove that above is a lot of misinformation. Togo Island should not even be part of this thread as there were no wardens on the property. Happy Holiday and Happy Hunting!

What is the misinformation?

Not correct according to a warden I spoke with who was on the raid. They checked Togo as well. But as I said above (if you actually read it) they found no violations on Togo.

Dude, he had to throw his hissy fit about made up disinformation so he could tell you about his bow kills of 155” from 2023, 160” from 2024 and of course the 160” velvet.

I know. I've been insanely jealous of that guy ever since I read that. I hope he comes back and tells us the stories in detail.

We need some real hunters in here for a change

You are again incorrect. I was there hunting. No one warden came to Togo. As I said above, a lot of speculation

Wardens have been investigating this issue for months. They've been all over Togo and SD looking for baiting sites.

Just because you were there the day that raided SD doesn't mean Togo wasn't investigated and cleared.

And: what is all of this misinformation that you refer to? If we're wrong, tell us what's right. Since you know......

You keep including Swamp Donkey and Togo in the same statements. You are clueless. The game wardens have not stepped foot on Togo Property this year or any year since I have been a stake holder. But keep getting your secret information from your game warden friend and spreading misinformation. And to clarify, Togo has no “baiting sites” and never has. Togo has always had rules against feeding even prior to CWD bans. Funny how you are so concerned about a place you have no financial interest in?

If I told you how many management bucks I have killed you would talk shite and say there are no big deer on Togo. Can’t win against a keyboard jockey. If you have 125 and 160 that are both mature bucks, I am sure you are going to shoot the 125 right? Just keep talking shite about a place you would dream of hunting.

Not one? That seems incredibly hard to believe and if true, someone at mdwfp needs to be investigated for taking bribes.

A man woke up one morning to find a ferocious-looking gorilla in a tree at the Togo hunting club. He quickly phoned the local game warden whom he had never seen, who arrived minutes later since he was hiding in the bushes.

In one hand he held a shotgun, and in the other the leash of a fierce Doberman pinscher. As they walked to the tree, the warden explained, “What’s going to happen is that I go up the tree, throw the gorilla out, and the dog clamps his teeth on the gorilla’s balls.”

The man nodded and was surprised when the game warden handed him the gun. “You know how to use this?” he asked. “I do,” he said, “but what’s it for?”

The warden replied, “Well ….. sometimes the gorillas are pretty tough and throw me out of the tree. If that happens, I want you to do one thing.” “Shoot the gorilla?” “No,” the game warden answered, “the dog.”

Yes, yes I would laugh at you about shooting “management bucks” in a free range environment.
