Nah, Baton Rouge. Would have been a Kean or Phillips if I recall correctly. Been a long time.

Yes. Frank Kean (of Kean's Laundry) was one of the members. I wish I could afford to join this club. $$$!

Went to school with one of them. Fished the gulf a couple weekends ago with the older one.

Drank lot's of whiskey at the camp with this dude one weekend and had no idea who he was. Until Saturday night when we he asked what we did, then he told us. Real nice fella.

The river parishes will always be the top producers in terms of buck quality.

Avoyelles, St. Landry, Catahoula, Concordia, Tensas, Caddo. are a few of the top ones.

There are some huge deer taken in Rapides along the Red every year that you will never hear about because those people basically don't want many people to know.

I said Concordia bc while a lot of the private owners and looking for quality there is still a ton of deer taken in Dewey and Yancey and the other WMA I cant think of.

Basically, Thistlewaite to Tensas is where its at, with some more areas outside of that (Red River area, etc).

Pomme De Terre, Lake Ophelia, Dewey Willis, Catahoula Lake, Bayou Cocodrie all in that region. Big buck factories.

When I read this, I honestly thought this was some kind of trapping and tagging program by LDWF

Union parish slaughters deer on doe days at the management area and private land.

We hammer em all season long (shoot, don't catch) on the lease, DMAP, way to many does - there aren't any doe days - every day is a doe kind of day..

Is this deer count for 12 months or just the months of actual deer season?

if it were for 12 months, Avoyelles' numbers would triple.

We'll I hunt Claiborne, union, and Lincoln parishes so I know there are big numbers there and probably 30-35% don't get reported.

We knows how to skin a buck and run a trot line up here.
