Didn't they have issues with hulls literally coming apart? I wouldn't consider them if I was OP even if I was entertaining spending $150k plus.

they are 220k now...i detailed two for some guys and lets say the quality isn't there for the price. bolts and screws stripped and fiberglass cracked where front seat backrest went. i wouldn't own one, not to mention the fuel tank is small for twin 300s

Sadly that is true for a whole lot of boats out there.
Demonizing wood cored construction is partly to blame, maximizing margins is the other part to blame.
A properly built wood cored boat is much easier and cheaper to get right than a grid 3 piece composite boat. Unfortunately wood cored = junk to basically everybody these days.

They have a 21 DV and mod V that is also really big for the length. Again the bracket really makes it a 23’ boat. More reasonable but still takes big water well.

Mr B's Boats
Specifically the 25' model. can custom build almost anything you want. One of the prettiest boats around, INMHO.

I like the look of that A LOT.
Probably not very fast, probably pretty heavy, probably rides incredible, probably lasts forever.
In other words, perfect general purpose louisiana boat.

A friend of mine on the island has one. I've been diving off of it before. It was a great ride and super fuel efficient with a single 250. Lots of room for a boat that size but I don't think there was a ton of storage.

OP you gotta decide what you want to do, and how big is your truck? If you mostly snapper fish and go to the sandbar, your boat can be different than one that you mostly inshore fish.
An older Contender with newer power is a great boat for the money in the 23T and 25T range but you aren't going be flats fishing or pushing luck with getting into some areas of the marsh.

That with a pair of 4 cylinder 150 yamahas and an ipilot would be spectacular.
Storage is overrated. I'd rather have the floor space. I know it's more money, but I wish more boats utilized bilge storage. Shame all that has to get used up for flotation.

So, I’m in the Pensacola/Orange Beach area. Our flats fishing is about 3’ unless you are in the bayous in the winter. That allows for deep V boats inshore.
I know in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas inshore fishing can get really shallow. You might need a mod V even for a do all boat. Pair Customs is a Carolina boat but they have a 14 degree mod V for moderately shallow water.

Reminds me of a Judge 26. Looks like a good boat. Those type boats can handle big water well if the captain is patient and knows how to trim a boat. I like it.

I kill a lot of redfish in a relatively deep V bay boat that drafts a lot. You don't need to drag mud to catch them here. It's just the cool thing to do these days.

Fished snapper several times this summer on a 27’ Contender with twin Yamaha 150’s and an iPilot. Very nice boat, tradeoff is it would be tougher to trout fish out of than my boat. I’m about convinced I’ve got the right rig for what I do.

I fish out of a 2400 Blazer Bay around the Biloxi area. It does everything I need it to do, from inshore fishing to offshore on nice days.

You can add Pair Customs to that list also.
I have caught plenty of fish from 2 piece boats but a 3 piece is better in that you have a bit more room under the gunwales for your toes and for storage. Also rod holders and cup holders drain to deck and don't get clogged. 3 piece doesnt catch more fish, just a bit more convenient for fishing and cleanup.
