Never really used one. I just love the chatter of a buzzer. Buzzbait tip: Fish it as slow as you can that will keep it on top of the water and buzzin'. Add a trailer hook if they are short striking. You can also trip up the skirt like a spinner if need be as well.

As much luck as I've had with the Stanley ribbits I've never caught a fish on a scum frog either. I did catch a small gator on one though

This is kinda funny. All of these are my "go to" baits on any given day.

I have no doubt that they work. I've seen people catch monster reds with them. I've just never caught anything on them. Just a weird fluke.

Downsize your spinner baits. Booyah makes a line of smaller spinner baits called pond magic that I've done well with.

no. I suppose a chatterbait in my case. Never really fished them. Threw it a couple times. My cousins catch the shite out of fish on them. I would rather throw a spinnerbait or a jig. But yes, I'm well-versed with every lure mentioned in this thread and fish them quite often. I just can't get over the people saying spinnerbaits (I make my own) or crankbaits.... Hell, or even buzzbaits, it's not like you have to finesse fish them... All you gotta do is reel

eta: I guess the chatterbait is the same thing

I love spinnerbaits, but I hate with a passion crankbaits and rattletraps.

The only place I have been successful with them.

I just dont have alot of confidence in them and I have a hard time feeling the jig fall compared to a texas rigged worm. I can tell you how many rungs are on sumberged fence with a worm and pegged sinker.

same here, which is why I haven't used them much.
