Already own mine. 500 acres with ocean view on the Pacific down south. I'd love to own a little rice field duck hunting land west of Lafayette, though. Can't have it all, just yet.

That sounds like a plan

I just wouldn't want to do business daily in a place with traffic if I didn't have to.

Yeah, well that's my goal.. LINK

There’s no rush hour traffic in this isolated village and the residents all know each other, perhaps too well. But they’re genuine and friendly and look you in the face when they talk to you. Their hands are calloused hands from hours of hauling in heavy gillnets laden with struggling salmon, or working outdoors. Bears scavenge through garbage cans in back yards, and the occasional moose strolls through the streets. Visiting Haines is like time traveling back to the 1950’s, and, sadly, it’s not something you’re likely to see in the lower 48 anymore—it’s a remnant of America that has been lost to iPhones, MTV and urban sprawls.

500 acres on the Black Warrior river outside of Tuscaloosa would be my autumn/winter spot. I'd buy a house on the apalachicola bay for my spring and summer spot.
Won't lie though, if I won the lottery I would have multiple houses/cabins in different places, all with outdoor activities in mind. Something in islamorada would be a must. I'd probably call the land in Alabama home though.

If we both won the lottery, I would want our lands to touch.

I wouldn't be able to have just one spot.
Place in the mountains, place on the beach (near good fishing) As Rise said, Apalachicola/St George would be at the top of the list and maybe something a little further south. A place in either the Miss delta or AR flooded timber.

Some of our fishing villages are similar to coastal Maine. Little more mountainous and less populated.

anybody sensible enough that has traveled wouldn't have one spot, unless you want to stay in that one spot all the time
but for the type of money you could buy your dream property for, you should definitely have enough for a couple dream spreads

I'd want a sailboat, but that one spot would be fine. If I were 30 things would be different but I'm older, and your focus becomes more refined I think.
