I use tiktok and I actually watch a lot of chinese videos. They are about how the ancient Chinese made things like paper and lipstick and various other things. I know that is what they are showing their kids. There are a ton of educational videos and information on tiktok.

One thing is not disputable....the audience is some Ukraine loving Recucklicans. They loved Haley's unwavering financial and military support of Ukraine, they didn't like Ramaswamey's criticism of current US financial and military support of Ukraine.

I don’t think the people criticizing TikTok have actually used the platform. It’s all a bunch of posturing.

When I was in most doctrine was focused on cyber defense and this was around the dot.com bubble when the internet was the wild west.
The DoD finally got a clue in the 21st century and now has a cyber attack doctrine. Even the Signal Corps was split to create the Cyber Corps. I think its improved greatly for the better. Even Infantry units are employing electronic warfare in the field. 1/509th Infantry who is OPFOR at the Joint Training Readiness Center at Fort Polk has cyber soldiers wreaking havok on battlefield networks.
FM 3-13 which covers information operations now talks about individual bad actors now. Back then the manual mostly focused on state or terrorist groups.
