Talking about work time. Not the number of hours you spend on video games in your parent's basement.

40 hours a week is a lot of time. It's 1/3 of your day 5/7 days for most. Hopefully with efficiencies from AI we see this reduced.

pussy

40 is not shite. many of us here have worked 50, 60 and 70 hour weeks most our lives. many times 84 and 98 hour work weeks.

you must be on disability and have no clue what real hard work is.

When I’m on the road I work Monday-Saturday, 72 hours a week and I manage to shower every fricking day.

What a pathetic clown she is.

It’s amazing. I can’t believe he actually admitted feeling that way. Liberals aren’t exactly smart though so maybe I shouldn’t be surprised.

I feel for her. In another time she would have seduced a man and he would have supported her and her babies. Her problem is that feminism was not content to give women the opportunity to live like men, it also insisted that they do so. Women are not much more free than they used to be; it’s just that they exchanged one set of chains for another.

But why?

Is your life goal to work or to make money?

Passive income stream / mailbox money beats working any hours.

Interesting name for your welfare/unemployment checks

But why?

An internal drive to improve and to succeed. Currently I work long hours because it keeps my company in business. And it keeps 28 people employed. And it keeps my family fed and happy. And it gives me the ability to donate to my church and charities.

Call me all the names you want but my goal is to work as few hours possible while making the most money possible. Most if not all people in white collar jobs aren’t working for a huge chunk of the time they are “at work” anyway.

I’m a work to live person, not a live to work person. Carry on bragging about spending most of your time away from your family and people you love.

But I will give you points for deviating from the usual "It's all fake news!" schtick of claiming that it's not real and nobody really thinks that way.

I didn’t watch it but I’m sure you understand that people monetize their social media accounts by gaining followers and garnering engagement.

If this person can post this and she has men she doesn’t know all over the country driving traffic to her social media… who is the moron?

I know. I’m supposed to say that I work 58 hours every day M-Sat and wouldn’t have it any other way because… YOLO?

Chatting, wasting time on emails and meetings that don’t move anything forward, surfing the web, long lunches etc etc.

Now I’m sure you’ll say you wear diapers to work so you don’t even have to step away from “work” for two minutes to use the bathroom.

You think people work long hours because they want to work long hours? They have the choice between long or short hours for the same amount of money and they choose long hours?

And who in those businesses is actually moving things forward?

That’s ridiculous. Diapers? I’m a grown man. I just keep a piss bucket under my desk and have the cleaning staff empty it.

My wife and I both worked full time with children and got graduate degrees while coaching all 3 kids in baseball (not all at once). We got help from family and alternated who was in school but it made an enormous difference in our careers. Call us greedy if you like but I prefer to call it "being the best that you can be at your chosen profession". Way before children in my first Department Director's position we were constantly understaffed and I routinely worked 60-70 hours per week. Greedy? No I was salaried but someone had to care for the patients. So the Director filled in when he couldn't get overtime hourly workers to do it.

Intelligent and can't perform basic needs working 40 hours a week. Sounds pretty dumb and lazy. Most full time jobs, held by the majority of Americans have 40 hour work weeks. Working 9-5 M-F gives you time in the morning or evening and the weekend to grocery shop, do things you enjoy, etc.

and can't take a shower for over a week? Maybe they should just let Stinky work from work from home. Everyone will be happier.
