i think killing in bakhmut is much much worse than 7:1. i don't think this war goes on much longer. when we lose this what will that do to the u.s. dollar?

7-1 Ukraine to Russia deaths is pure bullshite.
The Russians drafting civilians and emptying prisons is proof of loss.
Fast offensives like Ukraine’s are low loss affairs, while month after month Russian style offensives like Bakhmut are meat grinders for assaulting troops. The head long retreat of Russia is due to lack of infantry.
I’m not saying Ukraine will win. Russia can afford to put more young men in the ground, but they are losing more men.
But what I don’t understand is the Russian love and Ukraine hate on this board. How are you and yours better off with an occupied Ukraine and a victorious Russia under Putin?
I mean I would prefer for an anti-American Russia to be humbled, and I think the Ukrainians are the victims of an aggressor in Putin, but if the Ukrainians get F’ed I won’t lose sleep over it!

Its just polarization. Both camps cling to any news clip that supports their side and take victory laps with it. The OTers do it too in the opposite direction.
If you step back from almost any discussion you read here you will see the polarization in action. Desantis v Trump is another good example where you will see this.

not throwing stones at russia because the US has waged war all across the globe, including installing a puppet regime in Ukraine.
Most of us dont want the US to be involved in the shenanigans, which we clearly are and pushing for the war.
Thats not the same has being pro russia.

You know it’s absolutely insane how they
ask this type of question over and over. Well, let me ask you, how was your life affected/impacted when Russia invaded Crimea? I mean did you dig a fallout shelter under your house? Did you post on a 3,000 post thread? Did you put a Ukrainian flag in your house or Facebook page? Did you speak about the need for a Ukrainian Churchill to rise from the ashes while farting “Slava Ukraini” I. c-major? Hell, did you even know Russia invaded the Crimea?
The reality is your life wasn’t impacted one frickin bit by Russia’ invasion of crimea. And your life was not impacted in the slightest by the ongoing fight in Ukraine that has been going on since that time.
But your life has been impacted by OUR decision to fight a proxy war in Ukraine. The impact of inflation, our own military hitting dangerous lows in ammo and other weapons, the world moving away from the USD and geopolitically aligning with China and other wonderful countries. And politically, it was another wedge issue that has now divided Republican voters and politicians at a time when Rs should have complete unity on all issues.
All of that, just so you can say you supported a corrupt regime.
