There are multiple ways you could look at this question.
One is assuming that there is something about European/American caucasian culture that inherently produces wealth and prosperity. I understand being somewhat skeptical of that premise. There have been enough examples of caucasian peoples throughout history NOT producing wealth and prosperity (the U.S.S.R., for one example) to make one doubt that premise. Also, countries like Japan are not majority caucasian and they have produced wealth and prosperity.
The other way to interpret the question is that this was a majority caucasian country from inception up until the point that the OP hypothesizes. And those caucasian people had a similar culture and value system. So yeah, race is irrelevant, except to the degree that the different races have different values and are immersed in different cultures.
So the key point is that the people who always made up the majority in the wealthiest and most prosperous nation on earth are being replaced with people who have different values and who are not interested in assimilating into mainstream traditional (caucasian) culture.
From that standpoint IMO it's a valid question. And the answer to it is "yes," IMO.
"Diversity" is almost always more of a liability than an asset.

Regardless, the OP premise was "when whites become a minority in the US."
Again, a premise that movement from 51% to 49% is somehow a difference maker is ridiculous. For information purposes though, 75% of Americans currently identify as White, 19% as Hispanic, 13.6% as Black, 6.3% Asian.
E.g., Jews are a miniscule population component, a tiny minority. Yet, their social contribution is outsized, for better or worse.

It doesn’t have to be about race but it includes an element of race. It’s about entitlement and the need for votes.
When politicians require support from unproductive citizens, they promise free stuff . They feed entitlement mentality. One of the largest elements of the entitlement mentality comes from the black segment of our country who by and large feels disenfranchised due to slavery. They expect reparations.
Otherwise, the democrats look for new entitlements every day so they can throw money at it to buy votes.

A Russian scientist said years ago that the US will fall when the have nots out number the haves. At that point the have nots will vote for whoever gives them free goods and our country will go broke. Dude was pretty smart cause we are heading in that direction.
