The only way he can pay that is if he continues to be Alex Jones. Kind of ironic.

This should set up good for Trumps lawsuit over Russian collusion.

That’s actually where I got the info of the cap on these types of judgements. That info must have been wrong. Or you are. Idk for sure

As per co-counsel Bill Ogden, punitive damages are capped at $750k in this type of suit. The jury isn’t briefed on this, so the award was expected to be massive, but capped.

Who knows but they're going to pile it on thick. He's got at least two other pending lawsuits in California and Connecticut. They're also investigating him for funneling assets out to hide his assets. I also recall him saying he lost a drive with $500M of Bitcoin on it.

If you didn't see any of the proceedings, this will be appealed and tossed eventually. I came away questioning if the judge attended law school from the footage I saw.

I haven't really followed the trial but the few times that I saw it on tv, It looked like a kangaroo court. You have a court full of looney tunes versus a man who makes his living off what the left calls just a crazy conspiracy theories. I mean as bad as the media wants to make him out as a lunatic, some of the things he said in the past has been true.

Of all the people the left went after it was Alex Jones? Seriously? The so called conspiracy theorist. The left must be really getting desperate.

I'm sure he will pay but it won't be anything close to the numbers they wanted.

The Supreme Court's holding in Snyder vs. Phelps should prohibit any recovery for any variation of political speech as it pertains to intentional infliction of emotional distress or the tort of outrage. I also don't see how you can sue someone for defamation for a political opinion, especially when the parents have willingly made themselves public figures when it comes to this issue.

Zimmermans defamation case against CNN(?) was just tossed for the same/similar issues. Jones will appeal and eventually get it dismissed IMO.

Texas state law would apply in a Texas state court.
Especially given that Jones broadcast the defamatory statements from his studio in Texas.
