Pointing to what some states do is not a refutation of the Second Amendment. It is a reminder of why the Amendment exists. Rights are not supposed to rise and fall with your opinion, my opinion, or the mood of a state legislature. The founders listed it second because they expected future generations to make your exact arguments.
Everything you pointed to... feelings about individuals, judgments about groups, and state policies, illustrates the central point. The Constitution, not personal preference, sets the floor for rights. You do not have to like the Second Amendment, but you don't get to replace it with whatever happens to feel right to you.
