Instead of the Gospel? Anyone notice your private Christian schools are touting social justice and blm instead of teaching from the Bible?
Funny.. only happened at our Church in TN after the preacher came from Michigan and at our private school after the president came in from Cali.
Yeah, it's becoming more common. Good news for mine, we grown membership when folks get fed up with it. We've had several new families join... well before Covid struck.
Today I will miss Church for the first time I can remember. To be fair, it broke out at Church with a large portion of the praise team which then spread to other families, including mine. Some are direly ill, others have had symptoms like a summer cold. Half of my family was confirmed positive after prior testing.
Thankfully, there is Facebook these days.
Hope God continues to bless you all.

I’ve noticed it with younger pastors in the Presbyterian Church of America and affiliated organizations like RUF, in spots. I’ve frankly been pretty surprised by what I’ve seen.
It is as though they are saying that sins as described by radical leftists and critical race theorists are now the only sins.
My former PCA pastor has been, disappointingly, outspoken in repeating virtually ANY propagandist narrative. I first noticed it when he was adamant that the widely propagandized "approaching" Kurdish genocide by Turks was his paramount concern in "Over the Mountain" Birmingham.
uhh, wrong... followed by about a dozen equally biased narratives since.

We just got a new preacher so you can bet if he feels that way he’s keeping it close to the vest.

Not my church but Christ episcopal church in Covington is. Episcopal church has been for years.

There is certainly a movement with the “cool kids” in the PCA ministry that has absolutely embraced critical race theory. Most are from the south, attended private high schools and have never with worked or been around black people.
I really feel like this will eventually been a kill shot to the PCA, which has been a beacon of hope in conservative theology for a long time now.

If the church isn’t preaching Christ and Christ crucified. Getting people saved and shepherding the flock through trusting in his finished work at the cross.
Then it’s all wasting time anyway.
More Jesus. Less YMCA.

No kidding. But as woke as the USCCB is, it is worse than that.
Please say a prayer for the faithful.

A friend showed a video for catholic schools in Nashville just this past week.. it is a marketing video trying to get parents to send their kids there. It specifically mentions the importance of and their focus on social justice.

While most Methodist churches are catering to it, ours has doubled down on being anti politically correct and relating how the word has no room for Marxist

No. Scriptural Based Southern Baptist.
My son has attended music camp and received music instruction from one of the largest Southern Baptist churches in Alabama for the past several years. My son’s Catholicism has never been an issue.
The congregants there are the most wonderful and welcoming people I have ever met. Anyone who thinks that Southern Baptists are closed minded bigots are bigots themselves.

Nope. Not this diocese.
However, I do know of several that would lead the charge on that stand.

Broadmooor here in BR really turned me off recently when they were describing Colin Kaepernick as someone to look up to and then plastering BLM all over their social media.
I can’t imagine we are the only people who left because of him but I can’t imagine how bad it must be now with everything going on

And you see the same in public schools. As a Catholic, I haven’t heard any of that preached in our church, and our pastor is black, from Africa.

Blacks that were born in Africa don’t play these stupid games.

Church Of the Kang in Mandeville is all about those scriptures. Thank god!

I subbed on the worship team over there for years and had no idea about the left-leaning political views of many of the leadership personnel...until Trump got elected and the masks came off. I was surprised, to say the least. It ramped up after they got their new far-left pastor and it looks like the church mission is all SJW all the time now, so I’m glad I no longer get asked to sub...

My Pastor got publicly attacked by someone who doesn’t even go to our church for something he liked on social media. What does it matter what he likes on social media? He never once brought politics into any of our services. If you don’t agree with what a pastor says or likes, don’t go to his church. Simple. However since the attack our pastor has pretty much bent over backwards and taken a knee to this SJ garbage. My wife and I have decided that it’s time for us to start looking for another church to call our home. If a pastor can’t or doesn’t want to stand up for what he has been preaching and buckles at the first sign of pressure, what does that say about him and his lack of faith. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens and how many people decide to leave and how much money leaves with them.
