No.

The debt-deficit is our biggest problem now.

This thread is a great example of why we need to abandon MAGA spending policies.

DOGE is a nothingburger in the big picture. You could cut all of that spending to $0 and it wouldn't change much. Just not enough money to fix things.

There is no LARPing. MAGA or Trump is just trying to make a good deal for the American people. Whether that falls in the fiscally liberal or fiscal conservative bucket is for you to fret over. Democrat economic policies are not good deals.

Republicans have been trying to cut the entitlements and democrats have been trying to cut defense spending without developing a plan first since I started paying attention to politics

And now MAGA is supporting propping up the spending in both areas.

If DOGE can't work and Americans love welfare then what will work?

Americans are going to have to feel the impacts of the interest and deficit pressure. Adding more spending in order to push this down the road is not going to help anything. It's going to make the pain even worse and potentially calls worldwide economic meltdown in time.

Stop borrowing more money to prop up an economy that needs to go through a major recession. Make sure that the people know that the pain of this recession is caused by the excess spending especially since 2009 and during covid.

It was, until it became repetitive.

I realized it was simply an act of acknowledging and stroking the ego of the most arrogant individual on this board.

Take the discussion on DOGE.

It could be the most successful program in US history and he will still argue that it either didn’t perform well enough or that he supported it all along.

I don't think that math works. I'm tired of funding the world as much as the next person, but monetarily it's not driving this bus.

The annual Social Security budget is $1.4 Trillion. By 2035 social security is expected to be between 17 and 23 percent short - so around $300 billion.

The United States spends $70 billion annually in foreign aid, not including special expenditures for Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan, etc., which have been well in excess of $200 billion. None of this includes direct military expenditures and operations in other countries which are tens of billions more. Nor does it include war spending in Afghanistan, which was $2.3 trillion. (or the next Afghanistan, or the next or the next or the next)

And wait until the "rebuilding" of Ukraine starts getting cranked up. That will be a $1 trillion or more project.

And much of that spending is unbudgeted.

And before anyone says "that's in the past" or that was "a one-time thing" or a "special circumstance" you can just stop now.

The United States has been in a perpetual state of war, proxy war and nation-building for the last 100 years-plus.

Just putting a halt, or even a cut, to that would solve most of our problems. The "math" does work.

Very first reply post in a very positive original thread is yours shitting all over the good news to derail. I never reply to you because all the sheeple always do which is why you do it, to get them all stirred up.

You won, derailed a great potential thread about a South American country who made major reforms - and somehow turned it into your constant hate Trump threads.

I won’t reply to you again but just wanted to get it off my chest. If sheeple would stop replying to you then my guess is you’d move on to some other platform to spew your hatred and derail threads.

Don’t reply or do, I don’t care and won’t reply. You did your daily work and can put another notch in your bedpost. Congrats. I hate that so many reply to you constantly knowing your aim is not to have discussion but rather to ruin anything positive posted here. Maybe someday they’ll learn to ignore you.

As for the original topic, what he is doing down there is historical and unprecedented in that country and the entirety of South America. It will help show other SA countries what they can be and might help lead to their peoples to vote different or even revolt against the commies. He is showing the way, and soon others will want it too. But they’ll have to make sacrifices to get it. Likely blood too.

2020: Approximately $1.8 trillion in mandatory spending, primarily through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act1.
2021: Around $1.7 trillion in mandatory spending, largely due to the American Rescue Plan Act1.
2022: Continued mandatory spending from previous relief packages, with total pandemic-related mandatory expenditures reaching about $4.2 trillion by early 2023.
2023: Additional mandatory spending, though at a reduced rate compared to the peak years, with some funds still available for obligation2.

Get rid of this shite, and spend like its 2018 and you have a surplus without actually changing FICA stuff.

It's the reality. There is no realistic answer to our deficit issues in today's political and social climate. Society will not accept what it would take to simply balance the budget much less generate a surplus, and the American political class knows it.

Then you should educate yourself more in this thread and avoid relying on irrational ad homs.
Maybe you should educate yourself on the fact that you have proven time and time again that your "arguments" are noting but condescending, baseless trolls that often are supportive of such disgusting behaviors as pedophilia.

Hating a POS that condones pedophilia is anything but irrational.

Now, I politely request that you go frick yourself.
