Imagine the outrage if instead of having a small amount tax from every check, that once a year the government sent you a bill for your entire tax liability at once.
this needs to happen

If anyone is bitching about this they haven't been paying attention.

This is the American voter we are talking about. Most can't name the branches of Government and they give us the likes of Pelosi and AOC.

Been saying this for years.

Get your gross pay at work at the pay counter.

Go to the next window, pay your income tax.

Next window please. Write your check for SSI.

Next window, pay your Medicare.

Etc. RIOTS ENSUE!

Getting a big tax refund is actually a bad thing.

If you're too stupid to understand that, your opinion on tax policy is irrelevant.

I think you know that the vast majority of people don't spend one minute analyzing their actual and potential tax liability. They like easy. A check in the spring is easy.

If you ask a large group of people "how much did you pay in taxes last year?" there will be those who say 'oh I got money back!" or something like that.
most people likely have zero idea how much they actually pay in taxes. Having to actually cut a check would make people lose their minds they would be so angry

I’m not getting a refund this year for the first time in forever. However, I made 10k more last year than the previous year, so I’m pretty ok with not getting a refund.

Another moron who doesn't understand that tax refund doesn't equal tax liability.

Pretty ok with it? Not getting a refund means you’re smart. You won. You optimized the utilization of your own money.

People who get refunds should be disappointed in their lack of financial acumen.

There are too many of these idiotic posts for this to not be some kkind of coordinated effort.

At least I would like to think it is that and not some epidemic of unrelated stupidity coming from all angles.

If you want a bigger refund increase your withholding. The only thing that really matters is overall tax burden, which is lower. You fricking retard
