But, it's hard to believe that if the white kid got in and the black mother pointed him out and the two were wearing similar clothing that violated the restaurant's dress code that the manager wouldn't say, "Okay, we screwed up letting that family in. We'll have a talk with our employees, and you are welcome to dine today. But, in the future, please understand that we have this dress code."
Exactly.
Was the other kid even eating there? They appeared to be outside. Was the kid the owner's son?
I don't understand the rush to judgement on everything that gets posted to social media with VERY little context. Initially, it would seem that establishing a racist restaurant in a city that's 60%+ black would be a very poor business plan.

While TDY at Ft Stewart some buddies and I travelled to ATL to visit Cheetahs. I was denied entrance for shirt sans collar. I am white, bouncer was black.
What a racist he was. No titties and beer for me that night. A road trip to nowhere. Poor me.

Did you know a Macy’s employee called a two black males the N-word?

I believe that the woman believes that because the white kid was wearing tennis shoes, that is what constitutes "athletic wear." The restaurant should have just clarified that tennis shoes are okay (they'd probably turn away more than half their customers if they prohibited tennis shoes), but basketball shorts and shirts (i.e., "athletic WEAR") is not.
I cant tell what type of shorts he is wearing, but the white kid is definingly wearing tennis shoes, a t-shirt, and shorts. The only difference in their attire may be the style of shorts.

She wasn't complaining. She was asking for clarity. The video that I watched clearly shows preferential treatment for the light skinned child. Maybe the light skinned person arrived during athletic gear lunch hours. Yeah, that explains it.
You need to watch the entire video. The white kid is not in athletic shorts. You can see this clearly he and his brother are both wearing blue shorts. If you listen to the video she even says he is in khaki shorts. She only bitches about the tshirt and tennis shoes which the manager politely tells her if the kid changes the shorts he would love for them to come back.
Because pretty much anyone white accused of being a racist has been fired lately for just doing their jobs.
This guy and another were fired for daring to enforce the dress code at his restaurant and then put on TV as racist. YouTube

Again, without seeing the two side-by-side, it's hard to determine. But, IN THESE TIMES, any manager with a lick of common sense would have either let the woman and her kid in or explained the difference.
I didn't see either kid in the video I watched.
Was the white kid in Docker-type shorts, a polo t-shirt and nice tennis shoes? Was the black kid wearing mesh basketball shorts half-way down his arse, with a basketball jersey?
Were there any other black kids in the restaurant wearing tennis shoes but Docker-type shorts?
Again, from the video I saw embedded in the article, these are things we can't tell.

Exactly. Yet the employees are fired, the company made changes to their dress code, and that location will likely go out of business.
