Who is actually dividing MAGA?

Compare Lindsey Graham’s reaction to January 6th vs. Thomas Massie’s reaction to January 6th:

With friends like this, who needs enemies?

Yet the neocon Graham is now heralded as a strong Trump ally while Massie has been targeted as a traitor to MAGA?

He’s cooked as a relevant voice on the right, the idea that he was a viable presidential candidate was always a testament to his ego because no one else sees him that way even within the MAGA/AF movement.

I doubt Bannon sees himself in that role. He has always promoted himself as a vision guy.

So I doubt Bannon has any serious intention of launching a campaign for President. And that was before the Esptein revelations.

I forgot Lindsey Graham's Name. Along with Pompeo Pence Desantis Nikki Haley... I could go on and on.

In 2017 In Trump's first term... The GOP held up his judge and attorney and other Appointments.

The Democrats nor the Republicans would let the man govern. I'm not saying he's perfect I'm not saying Trump doesn't Tick me off at times.

But Lindsey Graham was the only one that got him all Those judge appointments. It is sad but Trump was forever grateful.

I would think Trump knows that Graham's playing him... And enjoys golf enough...

That’s what I thought as well but there are a lot of leaks that he is/was setting up for one.

Whether he really sees himself that way or it’s just that he sees Vance as a wolf in sheep’s clothing I don’t know but I think there was something to it.

I was a casual listener prior to the Epstein revelations but I just don’t trust him now given those texts.

I like Massie’s voting record. And that is based on an objective analysis of Massie’s consistent support for the principles of limited government.

How else are we to judge an elected politician? Feelings and vibes?

With that said, if anyone argues Massie’s “principled” stance is performative and self-defeating, I would be casting stones at none but myself if I criticize such a view. I long ago arrived at the conclusion that any vote in this UniParty® charade is a vote for the left or right wing of the Deep State.

Bannon is preparing to run against Vance as “real MAGA”.

Bannon has never run for elected office, ever. He’s not going to ever run for anything.

Bannon isn’t presidential material. That would be an epic fail.

Don’t forget Rubio, the new “MAGA’ favorite of many on this forum. When Trump first emerged as legitimate candidate in 2015, the very neocons who have now infiltrated Trump’s administration were deriding Trump as a deranged demagogue.

Yet I welcomed Trump as a battering ram to crack the castle walls of the failed bipartisan foreign-policy consensus that defined the reigning political establishment in the Potomac Beltway. How soon many have forgotten what propelled Trump unto the national stage as a force in American politics.

I certainly haven’t changed my ideological bearings or political principles — yet something clearly has changed. I indeed haven’t abandon MAGA — it is much of MAGA that has abandoned me.

When the castle’s former gatekeepers rebrand themselves as the insurgents, it’s worth asking who actually has been captured? As for me, I will continue to be MAGA when Trump has been relegated to Netflix documentaries and discussed on cable tv nostalgia panels.

My main exposure to Bannon has been discussions on this forum. With that limited exposure noted, I always thought Bannon made compelling and interesting arguments.

Yet I assume many of Bannon’s devoted audience members have begun to question whether Bannon’s criticism of the establishment should be taken seriously, given his ties to Epstein. I just don’t see how Bannon overcomes the fallout over the revelations of his close relationship with the suicided intelligence mogul.

Who would comprise Bannon’s base? If Bannon does run for president, I assume it would may be more of an influence campaign than a legitimate attempt to position himself as a viable candidate.

Trump endorsement/ association may not be a great thing for Vance. Trump is universally hated and the voters want everything he has done reversed. If Vance is tied to that as VP it may doom his campaign. Rubio is probably a better option. I like Vance, but I don’t think he has the weight and substance Rubio has.

Trump has won the nomination of the Republican Party three times and been elected for president twice.

He is the founder and by far most powerful member of the MAGA/AF wing of the GOP which is a majority faction of the party.

YOU don’t like Trump.

Your opinion on him doesn’t change the fact that no living human being outside of the actual candidates themselves will have a bigger impact on who wins the Republican nomination than who gets the support of Donald Trump.

Pro tip: If a Twitter account includes the words MAGA or “Patriot” it’s likely a paid propagandist.
