This is the worst possible idea
He is absolutely repulsive to anyone under 30
On a gut level. He is not persuasive nor an educator. He is not America First

Dude... he never got off the reservation, and that's a fact, Kirk had more conviction in his little finger than you got in you whole body, give me a frickin break, you wish you had the conviction CHARLIE KIRK had, and I'm guessing a lot of people are looking in the mirror and questioning their own moral compass, O know I sure have, lot of people talk a big game including me, but when the final day arrives where are you gonna be........there is absolutely no doubt where KIRK is

What do ya’ll think about that?

I love Shapiro, but he doesn't have the magnetic personality that Charlie had. He's not the best choice. Yes, he is a great intellect who is extremely skillfull at carving up a debate opponent. But he doesn't have the charismatic personality to inspire and lead a movement like Turning Point.

Well, while I agree he wouldn’t be a great fit as head of TPUSA, I’m 31 and have been listening to Ben for 10+ years, everyday. He’s to old to fill Charlie’s shoes IMO.

Charlie was young enough to relate to the youth while being old enough to be seen as a mentor.

If you haven't noticed, bunk doesn't like Israel cause he leans towards islam. So he obviously doesn't care about what Christians think about being ready for the final days, like we do. He's more a "prep for suicide vest to 72 goat virgins" kind of guy.

Shapiro could handle the business growth of it, but I do not like how he won't allow any talk about negatives with Israel. And it's anti-Semitic to just bring anything up if they take it as negative. That's not good for what TP is.

Bibi needs to find a way to make Israel more Christian pilgrimage friendly. Way way more. There is no historic site that is off limits, and we shouldn't never have to adjust to others. That includes to moslims too. That should be Trump's #1 requirement when it comes to Israel. Doing this has been important to Americans going hundreds of years, and is based in our Western Civ heritage.

The Christian/Jewish relationship is definitely one side on the give and take meter, and that needs to be balanced out more than anything.

TP needs a strong Christian man leading it, and one able to teach young men how to go out on Campus to communicate it strongly. And yes, I mean men, not women. We need real strong Christian men taking back the reigns of this nation, and households.

Can we just admit that since no evidence has come out since the OP that this is probably BS. I have no stomach to be bashing and hinting enemies on the right. I like Shapiro but he’s not the guy for this. I could see him filling some debate slots by TPUSA but he’s not going to be the leader. So you guys that despise all things Israel can go ahead and calm down.

This is the correct answer.

One of the things that always impressed me about Kirk was his patience with college students. I couldn't have done what he did for five minutes with those often annoying young people.

Ben Shapiro does not have that superhuman level of patience either. And he's just too old.

Shapiro at this point in his career appeals to people who appreciate deep and thoughtful analysis—which is why so many on this board do not like him—and also why an hour long podcast is the correct format for him.

You have to be mature enough to not care what someone's personality is like or what their voice sounds like and just listen to the ideas to appreciate Ben.

College students are just getting started analyzing politics.

Was thinking about this last night. But I don't believe it.

Shapiro is obviously an excellent debater so he fits that role well. The problem is his faith is much harder to sell to young people than Charlie.

They'll bring up someone knew.

Can you imagine Nick representing TP USA?

No, I said he would be better than Ben but Nick is carving his own path.

Charlie and Nick have one MASSIVE thing in common. It was the foundation of TP USA. Charlie argued through the lens of hope, faith and charity via the Holy Spirit.

Believe it or not I see Nick as carving out his own path on the same foundation. A foundation that is available to all of us if we just say yes to God and His Savior Jesus.

Yes, Nick and Charlie were foes. Foes but not enemies. They competed in the same political arena and quite frankly Charlie crushed Nick. But Nick is 5 years younger than Charlie and Nick is still maturing. Nick thinks/thought Charlie was not right enough and beholden to suspect donors.

If you want anyone on the right to take the banner of "leader" you want that person to lead on the foundation of Jesus Christ whether covertly or overtly, like Charlie. That kind of leader abhors violence and retribution because if they succumb to that kind of temptation they know their soul is eternally damned and at the end of the day, that's all we've got.

Ben would not lead TP USA with the same spiritual foundation as Charlie.

This is a spiritual war whether you want to admit it or not.
