I've said this for years. Guaranteed student loans are not a handout to students, but a handout to academia. "Financial aid" offices are staffed to the brim to make money ostensibly available to students, but these funds flow directly to the universities. They use those funds to appoint countless associate deans for everything from faculty development to diversity to gender equity. None of that shite actually facilitates better outcomes for the student that borrowed the money.

You’re wasting your time aside from the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathemetics majors.

Obama did this when he had government take over all of the loans. Colleges jacked up their prices knowing that the money to them was guaranteed, and they're using that money to create bloated, politically motivated 'diversity and inclusion' departments and teach kids to be communists.
