President Trump is saving America - but he needs our help.

I'm Blake Miguez, and today I'm announcing my campaign to represent you in Congress.

I'm a 7th generation Louisianian, a small business owner, and a husband and father of four.

As House Majority Leader and then as a State Senator, I've stood for the MAGA agenda for a decade.

I've led Republicans in protecting life, passing Constitutional Carry, banning sanctuary cities, banning Zuckerbucks in our elections, fighting for lower taxes, cutting waste and fraud with LA DOGE, and getting men out of women's sports and private spaces.

In Congress, I'll never waver from pursuing the same MAGA agenda that makes life safer and more affordable for all our families.

STOP to end.

Might be a longshot but did you try typing STOP?

Does this dude even live in District 5?

I was wondering the same thing? Do any of the announced candidates actually live in the District? North Louisiana is basically going to lose another representative because of these dumbass district maps.

I’m not convinced Fleming is a team player. He seems crazy and weird.

I went to Miguez's senate page to read about his positions and see what he was all about and was thoroughly disappointed. The write up was typical hollow political talk.

Someone's senate page should have detailed philosophy and positions laid out with clear language. I don't give a shite about your hokie 7th generation Louisianian whose grandpaw shook people's hands and honored his promises.

So far I'm unimpressed with all options.

True, but...certainly a mark against him.

It's either Letlow or Fleming for me? Which one is the Rhino?

Letlow will vote however the big GOP dogs tell her to vote. She will not rock the establishment boat at all.

When she was my rep before redistricting, it felt like she was a lazy rep. Took forever for her office to get back to you on anything and she always played it safe and voted however she was commanded to by the GOP brass. She will do the same if put into upper chamber.

Damn really? Better vote for Fleming then. Letlow is terrible.

Fleming is the man. He will serve 1 great term and endorse another strong conservative candidate.

POTUS Trump loves John Fleming.

That’s what I’m hoping for. One term. No more 80 years olds up there. Get them all out.

Good! That dude loves him some pogey boats. Anybody who supports destroying Louisiana fisheries will no doubt destroy Louisiana. Good riddance!

Thats dumb

Why would I want someone representing me who doesn't even live in the same area of the state. Miguez probably can't even find Monroe on a map

It's a constitutional thing. Art I Sec 2

quote:

Clause 2 Qualifications
No Person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained to the Age of twenty five Years, and been seven Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State in which he shall be chosen.

You have to live in the state, but there is nothing about the district.
