It’s weird how this one group of people in particular hate Trump so much It’s like they really do view him as Hitler and they have been so hysterical about him from day 1

I don’t know. I guess you can spend your money however you want but only make x$ campaign contributions?
Seems like bs to to me. I also think it’s bs to have out of state financiers for state and local elections though. Lotta people disagree with me on this.
Seems reasonable that you would want local people making local decisions but here we are.
Republicans helped push Citizens United. Because money is speech. I disagree with that line of thinking and I think the flood of money into our elections is terrible for democracy and our country as a whole.
quote:
There was the expectation that we would see this flood of corporate money into our elections. What has been surprising is the relatively small amount that business has actually spent in direct response to Citizens United,” said Anthony Corrado, a political scientist at Colby College who studies the influence of money in politics. “Over the course of the past four elections, what we find is that corporations have not really capitalized on this opportunity.”
What has changed, campaign finance experts say, is the flood of money from a tiny handful of wealthy donors who now wield unprecedented sway over the parties they support. Their newfound influence has come at the expense of the political parties themselves, groups that have lost relevance to the new outside groups that fund yearlong ad blitzes.

That's not what he went to prison for. He went to prison for making contributions in someone else's name.

Totally agree. It burns my butt that Soros used all that money in local elections all over the country to get commie DAs and commie circuit court judges elected. This creetin is not even an American as far as I'm concerned.

I agree. You shouldn't be allowed to donate any money to a campaign for an election in which you are not a voter. This includes corporations. Donations to PACs should be limited as well.
