Putin and Viktor Orban are reactionists seeking to fortify their countries against what Soros and others are attempting to accomplish.
Authoritarians tend to see Western democracy as the plague though.

Of course. On that topic, I do think it's interesting in talking about deconstructionism and the fringe left just how many adherents probably can't answer that question. And at a pretty high level.
For example, a sociology professor at a decent school who obsesses over critical race theory and the like, I think there is a 50-50 chance they have devoted little time to what the "end game" is. Radicalism for the sake of radicalism is a very real thing, I think.

For the useful idiots, yes
For the power players, radicalism is necessary to nuke our society.

It isn't.

Eventually. Similar to how Soros and ilk promote the undercutting of western democracy via the elimination of western institutions. But, like Putin or other authoritarians, it's under the guise of promoting some western-celebrated concepts, like democracy or human rights (for Putin, security and rule of law).
Let's eliminate borders and criminalize types of speech and subjugate our beliefs to the much firmer beliefs of Islamists and all in the name of western democracy. We'll then act shocked when our liberal democracy fails because we successfully destroyed the liberal democratic institutions that made them function.

And for a long time I really thought this meant 60 year old women in pussy hats. In truth, it probably includes college professors, US senators and foreign heads of state.

Well said

I was wondering how long it would take to get that response. Definitely not the numerous calls for his violent death. A false flag
It's interesting to see how different people perceive information differently.
You are convinced someone tried to kill George Soros by planting a bomb in his mailbox...as if Soros has a single mailbox, or a single residence, or as if he checks the mail.
Meanwhile, this event is coordinated with an article describing him as a "philanthropist", whose "Open Society Foundation promotes democracy and human rights around the world".

We gonna find out that a liberal planted it, in an effort to paint a bullseye on soros' enemies.

Would it be too difficult to find a motive here first? Before becoming all self righteous?

Right. I don't think someone like Kamala Harris has any clue what her side's end game really is.

I’m drawing a blank here. What are you referencing?

The political climate in this country is absolutely combustible. When the political elites act like the laws don’t apply to them it won’t be long until the masses respond in kind.

I highly doubt that.
If you have specific questions, let me know.

from the NYT article
I guess we missed
quote:
The device was “proactively denotated” by bomb squad technicians from the Westchester County Police Department.
quote:
“An employee of the residence opened the package, revealing what appeared to be an explosive device,” the police said in a statement. “The employee placed the package in a wooded area and called the Bedford police.”

I even googled the quoted words. I’m not playing coy. I surely haven’t read everything there is to know about the guy but if you think there is something that would be good for me to know then I’d like to know.

The one he worked for as a clueless teenager. It’s amazing this dumb naive man was able to amass billions in his lifetime. Being so clueless as a teen that is.
Stop playing pretend.

I know it's a long thread to read but the OP (boosie) made his intentions for posting it clear.
quote:
Boosie's replies
"We should totally assassinate those who we disagree with politically. Sweet rationalization. Just don’t come crying to me when the next lefty loon actually succeeds in murdering Scalise". ...
quote:This thread wasn't started for honest discourse. It was started so boosie can be boosie the jackass; and equate someone wanting/wishing evil Soro's dead/gone to cease bankrolling divisive culture racial wars to: Steve Scalise. Somehow boosie equates them the same and thinks he is doing well trolling intellectual honesty as a 'gotcha'.
"How so? The first line of my OP is literally “I know it will be cheered here” and I’ll be damned if you sycophants haven’t come through with flying colors
I just want the same level of intellectual honesty from you the next time some lefty loon murders a congressman but feels he was justified because said congressman was evil incarnate and a threat to us all."

Correct. Now he’s hiding behind red arrows. I’ve got a 8 year old. Weapons grade obstinance is my daily grind. Boosie is out of his league.

This thread was started because I see people here repeatedly call for the killing of Soros because he is a bad dude who does things you disagree with, and it seems someone thought it appropriate to take that from keyboard badass-ism to actual, real-life violence.
You can tell me I'm on my high horse and you can try to parse the particulars to fit your political persuasion, but I'm telling you on a macro level, this level of political discourse and viewing your political enemies as inherently evil and subhuman is dangerous. You've got lefty loons shooting up congressmen and armed guys entering pizza parlors to break up the pedophile ring, and now there's a bomb in Soros' mailbox.
It would do us all well to step back and deescalate the language used when discussing our political opponents.
But I'm sure that just makes me a cuck fake moderate contrarian troll somehow.
