White House Press secretary Karoline Leavitt on Monday defended Bovino, calling him a "wonderful man, and he's a great professional."
The White House states Bovino was not relieved of duty and will continue leading Customs and Border Patrol nationwide, though he is leaving Minnesota operations as Tom Homan takes over there.

Bovino is CAL of Border Patrol. They are cutting back on BP in MN
