One cannot be saved without believing in God, having faith in Him
I would argue faith+works, but I understand your point.

That is different than thinking of God as a concept.
I feel like you're channeling my most annoying quirk here, which is fixating on some pedantic semantic element instead of the actual point.
quote:
So do you think people should question the authority of God?
I think questioning the existence of God happens more than questioning "the authority of God." I'm not sure I understand what that would even look or sound like.
I haven't seen you around lately. Hope everything's been good.

I think we agree on the nuance of faith without works is dead.

I do think its in the same vein as faith without works, one can not believe and disbelieve at the same time. Belief in a god being different than the belief in the God of the Bible.

It looks like Satan and pride month, of people declaring they were born in the wrong body.
Its far more common.
God is real, no less real than gravity or the police.
When he says thou shall and thou shall not, it is no different than a "sovereign citizen" telling the police that he does not believe in them.
A refusal or questioning of God's authority is indeed rebellion.
No matter if they claim to believe in Him or not.
If God exists and they rebellion against Him, then He is righteous in cutting them off from his blessing.

Its been good, works been busy but I still pick one or two threads to get into trouble in.
Up here a lot of local elections have been interesting.
I hear Louisiana has been as well.

You consider kneeling to be violence?
No, but it showed the kids not to respect and obey the cops.

In EBR, they won’t allow us to send disruptive students to the office unless they are fighting. Moreover, we don’t record disciplinary referrals in JCampus but instead on a school created referral sheet so that our numbers for tardies, skipping, discipline look better.

One can doubt. That’s part of the human condition.

Belief in a god being different than the belief in the God of the Bible.
Our earthly minds can’t fathom God. They just cannot. We can’t fathom the holy trinity. But we believe. It’s only natural that people would have moments of doubt when it is impossible for us to understand God or the trinity.
God still loves people who claim they were born in the wrong body. He wants us to love them, too.

I’ve been doing a lot of reading about structural injustice. I’ll probably start a thread about it soon. Would be interesting to get your thoughts.

Where is “up here”?
Louisiana is a shite show.
