She responded very poorly to questions. I understand, politicians don't like to answer specifics, but usually they are skilled at doing that. She became shaky and rather shrill quickly, and the interviewer was not aggressive.
She neither provided any insight or clue to her policies or positions, nor was she pleasant or likable... at all.

The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.

He tried. She was so off topic, so quickly, he struggled to rein her back in to the original question. You could tell she was speaking slowly, rehashing or repeating extraneous details.
She used pretty standard tricks to avoid going in depth on anything.
Also she used her "I'm speaking", "let me finish" WAY too early...
