You really think blowing up coke boats in the last two months (that were going to Trinidad and Central America) affected fentanyl deaths this quickly?
Closing the border did that.
Blowing up the boats is about sending a message. A message you seem to not want to send. Missing your drugs are you?
BTW, Trinadad and CA are stopping points on the way here, but you knew that already.

You argued (to simplify) that they are a de facto member of NATO, even though not a de jure member.
No, I said we should remove ourself from NATO because our involvement with them would pull us into conflicts with Switzerland, similar to our involvement in Ukraine.
It isn't even a logical stretch. We have clear evidence of this happening in other conflicts because "Russia bad." It's a simple statement everyone should realize is accurate without needing to think about it for very long at all.

"I've done all I can do. Just give me the power. I've asked from the very day I got into office. Give me the Border Patrol. Give me the people, the judges. Give me the people who can stop this and make it work right. If you're serious about the border crisis, pass a bipartisan bill and I will sign it. It'll also give me as president, the emergency authority to shut down the border until it could get back under control. If that bill were the law today, I'd shut down the border right now and fix it quickly".

To be fair, the drop started around 2024 before we were blowing boats up but restricting the supply will accelerate it
Looks like it started dropping in 2023 but the data only goes into 2024. Doesn’t support the point you’re trying to make with this thread.

BTW, that graph is just a funny meme. The real DK effect looks more like the following:

Interesting. Please explain to us what the line chart says and why the OP is wrong in his analysis. It would be nice to get back to the actual subject of the thread and away from Roger making a fool of himself.
First, it looks like there's a major increase around 2020 which we should all assume is due to the pandemic. Then, around late 2023 things start to drop and are continuing on that trend. This chart has nothing to do with Trump blowing up drug boats. That data probably isn't even available yet.

The dip is because of this.
The cartels green lit all street dealers stepping on their drugs with fentanyl.
It’s really simple. They don’t make veiled threats. If they catch a dealer mixing in fentanyl they will just kill your whole family.

So you posit this is just a revert to the mean? Decrease in demand unrelated to supply?

Do you think they stop in Trinidad? Big drug markets in Trinidad right? Do you think Americans stopped taking drugs?
fricking idiot
The majority of drugs come in from the Mexican border, and fent is mostly made by the Mexican cartels.
So the fact the drop off begins before the boats were getting blown up shows that our efforts on securing the border have been the biggest deal.
Also, the stuff with Venezuela has nothing to do with drugs.

Also doesn't mean what you think it means, if you insist upon using it as you did.
