Even if Massie is elected SOTH, even if he negotiates the most MASSIVE cuts in the planet's history in the House, 40 Dems in the Senate can shut that down faster than Hunter Biden can snort a line

You're now proving why your reference of Schumer in context of SOH is irrelevant.

It doesn't matter who is SOH for Schumer to throw a wrench into plans, just as the vote for any House bill being presented to the Senate is irrelevant.

As you said, 40 DEMs could shut it down in the Senate.

Yea we need someone to frick up Tru p’s agenda

So let me get this straight - you don’t want Mike Johnson so now you want to delay the process for several weeks and not get Trump verified - makes a lot of sense

So Massie is anti-Trump, exactly as I said
Here's the thing. I don't recall Trump running on the "I'm want unlimited spending, so I can outspend democrats" platform. Maybe I missed that value proposition, but I doubt it. It's not surprising given his first term, but... that agenda wasn't overt.

The reality is some are more concerned with Trump "winning" (getting whatever he wants) rather than address whether the spending is good/bad thing. The mypoic view of "does it hurt/help Trump > is it a good/bad thing for our future.

It is not his fault that Johnson's leadership failed to get a bigger majority in the House.
MAGA folks think they don't need to win elections. Had they won a bunch of house and Senate senate seats in 2022-2024, this wouldn't be an issue. I've said many times the 2022 election was a disaster for Trump's future.

How about all of the others vote Massie's way? Why don't they change THEIR convictions?
It's weird how they consider Gaetz a wrecked the HoR from doing anything by being an obstructionist and democrat co-conspirator a hero... but Massie is a traitor for sticking to what he's always been for.

The pending Debt Limit negotiations are separate and distinct from that budgeting.
Yeah. That's a failure of leadership you have grown habituated to. Imagine thinking "Yeah I have a $50k income, $350,000 in credit card debt, but that doesn't mean my credit card payment is related to my spending.

Now that's a melt! No one metioned that but you. And I don't care about hypotheticals. Trump is president-elect. But keep up the deflection.

Of course it doesn't. It matters that Massie, Roy, and Co ceded the wrench to Schumer at all. They stupidly pushed Debt Limit Extension negotiations forward to 2025, when the Senate telegraphed willingness to pass an early Debt Limit extension in its 2024 session.

Exactly. Need to get Johnson approved, certify the election, and inaugurate Trump so we can get things rolling. If the so- called Freedom Caucus has issues, deal with them after January 20. This whole thing is idiotic.

No one is crying. I’m calling out reckless spending. And I sad the day Kamala was nominated Trump was almost certain to win. But that said..what have we “won”? If we spend like democrats, what’s the point?

:rotflmao well when Trump wants to outspend democrats, it’s a target rich environment. Not my fault.

Wait for the Rep to have both houses and the Pres and have idiots who make it impossible to confirm the Pres or get anything done. Cut off your nose to spite your face.
