Why do I feel as though the majority of GOP senators heard this and though "You know what? Chuck is right. Let's give bipartisanship a chance. Surely, it'll work this time!"

Frick that. STEAMROLL the next 12 or so months.
There was an absolute mandate and the election was by no means closely contested. The will of the people has screamed from the mountaintops.

Whoever uses "bipartisan" needs to have their mouth washed out with soap. That's a bad word.

Here's how the Dems have reached across the aisle:
That appears more dictorial than bipartisan to me.
quote:
Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday broke a 191-year-old record previously held by John C. Calhoun by casting yet another tie-breaking vote in the narrowly divided Senate.
Harris cast the final and deciding vote for cloture on the nomination of Loren L. AliKhan to be a district judge for the District of Columbia, her 32nd decisive vote since taking office in January 2021. She followed up hours later by breaking her 33rd tie in the vote on AliKhan’s confirmation.
Harris already held the record for tie-breaking votes in a single day — she cast four on May 11, 2022, alone. She also holds the record for most votes cast in the first year of a vice presidency, with 15. Next on that list was her predecessor, Mike Pence, with seven.
That appears more dictorial than bipartisan to me.

The hypocrisy of these fricktards!!!
It's incomprehensible. Off the charts.

frick you, Schumer.
You had no compunctions about forcing things through when you nominally had a 50-50 Senate with Harris as tiebreaker.

Republicans need to give Schumer their word with their right hand on the Bible.
They will work with Democrats with the same co-operation and respect that Democrats have shown when working with Republicans and President Trump.

Like the Dems always work with the Republicans? Like that, Chuckie?

Shouldn't the headline read...Schumer asks to work with Nazi party and Hitler?

Read my post a few up from yours. She set a record - 33 times she voted to break a tie. Not once did she break for the opposition.
