Dems are desperate.

Recounting the votes? Nope.
Conspiring with Russia? Nope.
Assassination? .....

How dare CNN report on the Presidential line of succession.

They need to be made to play by the rules they made. When Gabby Giffords was shot, by a liberal lunatic who thought grammar was created to control the populace, Sarah Palin was blamed because her SuperPAC put out mailers with targets on the members of Congress that she was trying to defeat.

Come on...you know damn good and well you are defending the indefensible. Where was this manner of reporting for the prior eight Presidential inaugurations?

Its BS. If you want to know what happens in the event of the presendent getting killed before taking office. Google it and find out for yourself...dont put it on the news to encourage some dumbass, brain washed Democrat to try it...how about some positive reporting? You know something beneficial to the country like. Hey ya'll Obama's gone, gone ??

CNN anchors didn't sit around and list all the ways Trump could die. They posited the hypothetical what would happen if both Trump and Pence were killed and asked who would be in charge. It was actually informative which is rare for cable news

Correct. Then they proceeded to point out unsecured sniper positions where hypothetical snipers would have a good vantage point to fire. Despicable

Too bad that wasn't the question to an answer on Jeopardy. Wolfie might have fared better.

While I'm 90% certain it wasnt reported on, there also wasnt a show called "Designated Survivor" that people watched and knew it was a thing

Meet State of the Union 2015's Designated Survivor

The media talks every year about the designated survivor.

It's irresponsible of CNN to run this. There is literally no reason whatsoever to run this type of story as a major news network.

I know there is a media fraternity out there but my question is - how come CNN's competition, FOX and MSNBC, don't make hay on their shows when CNN comes up with shite like this. If I was trying to up my viewers numbers this "piece" by CNN would be at the top of my list in trying to decimate the competition.

You're smug reply to "before 2015 state of the Union" is an article about 2015 state of the Union. Are you familiar with the term "prior"??

That rolls along the lines of dateline type of stories of where the VP is taken to an undisclosed location during SOTU and what-not.

If any news organization spoke of a line of succession days before Obama inauguration they would be crucified at dawn and labeled racists and you know it.

CNN presented this as a Developing Now, story, NOT as a poli science/history lesson.
