CNN is shite. But their documentaries on music, comedy, movies, and decades are stellar.

Who needs them.
Too many news networks and not enough actual reporters that report facts.

When Joe Rogan called CNN out on their lies and told Gupta, “There are a lot of clowns on that network” - I think Zucker took notice.

CNN has an integrity problem and the only way to get things on track is to listen to people on the street and get a feel for what people actually care about; not the garbage the left has been focusing on for the last couple decades.

It's too late to salvage that network. Back in the late 80's, early 90's, I was a devoted watcher of CNN programming. Then they made their left turn after Clinton, and they've just gotten worse over the years. The CNN brand has now been so deep in slime for so long, that there's simply no way to salvage the brand.

[quote]CNN To Reportedly Fire "Good Number" Of On-Air Talent, Staff In Major Shakeup
quote: But according to Jon Nicosia - former Mediaite and IJR managing editor (and former breaking news editor at the DC Examiner) - CNN is going to revert to a 100% news channel, and a "good number" of CNN's "talent/staff" will be fired as part of a major shakeup.

i still don't and never will trust the Communist News Network.

this smells like something a liberal might do.

I know it’s easy to kick CNN. It’s such an easy target. But, all these network news organizations are, to me, perplexing operations. How on earth do they generate enough advertising revenue in this day and age to pay “the talent” huge, inflated salaries and the thousands of regular numbskull production people they necessarily employ? I don’t think they operate the way we all learned about profit and loss and the marketplace.

Good for them. Take most of the Fox crew, it'll be just as good.

Honestly, I hope they don't.

CNN has a Pantheon of terrible people. Do we really need them on the other mainstream networks?

Bob Costas is a count.

I don't really care for Ultra-Bob taking his spot in my television programming.

I would imagine -

They will keep about half of the "talking heads" types for some sort of special events (election night coverage, Sunday Morning Talk Shows, etc.) Van Jones, David Axelrod, Gloria Borger types.

Chris Cuomo lands nowhere, changes careers, runs for office?

Don Lemon - MSNBC

Anderson Cooper - Might host one of those Sunday AM shows

John King - Same as Anderson Cooper (he already does one).

Michael Smerconish - Don't let the door hit ya...

Morning Show - This is the most intriguing question. Headline News (the current channel) actually has a good one, maybe that will move over?

Edited for brevity.

I have long thought they are government subsidized.

I would speculate many other news outlets are.

Maybe contract negotiations didn’t go so well since everyone knows they are bullshite.

Maybe I’m nuts.

I don’t know how you get dogshit played in every airport across America for four forevers though.

I don’t know what Jeff bezos knows about making a news outlet work.

There’s a hundred more.

People are whores.

You can’t buy them but you can rent them.
