You are a very simple minded person.

I hope you do not have any daughters, or any children with that speak

Thanks for answering the question.

quote:

Universal healthcare. Not necessarily through a Sanders style medicare for all expansion, but something realistically attainable.

No such thing. Three points on the triangle, cost, availability, quality. There is no way to improve upon all three of those simultaneously. You improve on one, it necessarily costs you in at least one other area.

In the case of availability, it's self-limiting all on its own. You could give all Americans insurance, but what would happen is that care would start being rationed. Procedures that are currently approved would start being limited. "Come back in three years and we'll see if we can approve that knee surgery then, Mrs. Grandma. Today it's been denied."

"Universal" means everybody, all the time, always has access to the highest quality care.

quote:

American culture, its soft power, is its greatest instrument by far.

(Then) Religion out of public schools.

Don't look now, but religion is part of America's greatest instrument. It's part of American culture. Upon what basis do you leave it out, given the statement you just made?

quote:

I support LGBTQ rights, gay marriage, and affirmation.

Speaking of which, why would you be in favor of the government affirming homosexual behavior? That's part of culture too.

Seems to me that the research indicates that children end up with far fewer problems that end up putting a drain on society when they grow up in two parent, man and woman households.

We can argue about the research if you'd like—a lot of people claim that the research shows that children do just as well with gay parents as straight parents, but when you examine the methodology of those studies, they almost aways involve fatally flawed methods—if not, why would it be in the government's or society's interest to encourage any behavior except opposite sex-stable-faithful-married couples?

quote:

A strong Department of Education

Why do we need a strong Dept of Education? Our test scores were much higher before the DOE existed. You realize it's only been around for about 40 years, right?

quote:

Universal higher education

Why do you want to drive wages down?

quote:

Higher taxes on the wealth in America. The gap has become so incredibly obscene and large.

So what? The lifestyle gap is smaller than it's ever been in history. You know what I mean by that, right?

I mean the difference in everyday life between the rich and the poor in society. In America there's very little that Bill Gates has access to that someone living in Section 8 housing doesn't. He has access to nicer or bigger versions of them, sure, and can buy more of them, but anybody can only wear one pair of shoes at a time, regardless of how many he has sitting in the closet. The gap between rich and poor used to be eons wider, with rich people having access to meat, modes of transportation, shoes, safe shelter, clean drinking water, medical care, etc. that poor people practically had no access to at all.

And we've closed that gap so small basically since the industrial revolution, gradually at first and then accelerating over maybe the past 70 years.

So exactly what is the problem with a growing wealth gap when it has a parallel correlation with standard of living increases across the board?

quote:

Some kind of tax structure that encourages or forces corporations to pay a fairer share of profits to employees.

Sure, as long as the employees start taking on the risk as well. So if the company loses money in a fiscal year, that comes out of employee's pockets as well as the owner of the company. Also, the employees should be required to invest a certain amount of their own capital when they go to work there. If they are going to basically be part owners, they need to buy in.

If not, then frick off with that crap.

Typical liberal (pretending to be something else). The moment you run up against facts logic and reason you divert, deflect or just plain run away.

Your TDS is on full display. I was discussing issues, you made everything about Trump.

It’s a shame really, I enjoy making liberals look stupid. It’s not even difficult.

Your values? You don’t have any. Yours is the philosophy of the slave.

Individual freedom is vital for progress and should be valued.

Children should be protected and nurtured. Not killed because they’re inconvenient.

Less government is better. Enforcement of contract law and national security are its primary responsibilities. Not trying to be everything to everyone.

3 strikes and you’re out. You get out of jail twice and commit a 3rd, you don’t get out, ever. You’ve forfeited your right to live in a civilized society.

And yes, once again you demonstrate your TDS. I’ve lived through some truly shitty presidents. LBJ, Nixon, Carter, Bush, Obama, Biden. They were the president, whether I disagreed with them or not they were elected and their agenda was what you dealt with during their terms. It was pretty rare I agreed with much of what they did, but I never ranted and raved like you morons because quite simply you’re too stupid to figure out nobody agrees with everything, but he’s done some things I think are great.

Tariffs (oh please try and argue that one with me)

Reminding people Abortion kills children, and let the states decide how they want to handle it.

Getting the border under control and getting at least some of millions Biden dumped into the country out.

Foreign policy. Far better than what we’ve had in a long time.

He’s what you get when someone gets into office who has actually done something productive in the world outside of politics. Do I wish he’d just shut the frick up sometimes? Weekly, sometimes daily. But that’s who he is.

Yawn, it's not about me, I have lived through it all too.

Again, NO POLICIES implemented or on the table.
Just whatever he says.

Enjoy it, we/you pay the tarrifs, don't argue with you on abortion, what has he done that is great foreign policy? He hasn't stopped ANY wars
Canada, Mexico, don't need US and are smarter than him to work around us for their people and are laughing at him!

The great divider is what he will be remembered as, worst, dumbest, pres ever. Glad he is good for you only Nixon has worse numbers, remember him?

Go away with the BS, leave me alone

Well, it was an illegal action and a judge said so.

And 2 guardsmen were killed because of it.
Had he stood down and removed them?

THEY WOULD STILL BE HERE TODAY !!

so, is it the judges fault? He said it was illegal, but only he knows. He started it, i hope they sue him like he does everybody else.

He has blood on his hands, as well as finishing off the survivors near Venezuela = War Crimes bro, you down with that too?

Vague sense of moral superiority despite having no ground for objective truth and therefore moral superiority. They usually catch it from friends and/or family then reinforce it in school/college indoctrination camps.

Trump sent them into overdrive mode and eventual meltdown because he’s such an easy, pat, on-the-nose target for this sort of unfounded righteousness indignation.

It’s funny you seem to think other countries don’t have them. I only had to deal with it for a few decades because my business was …export.

quote:

what has he done that is great foreign policy?
Getting NATO to actually start meeting their obligations. Tariffs, hostage negotiations, blowing up a fair number of drug runners, negotiating agreements with countries to ship these illegals to, etc.

Canada, Mexico, don't need US
This demonstrates the extent of your ignorance. We’re their biggest markets. They don’t just need us, they collapse without us.

Polls…lord your TDS is at unhealthy levels. If you’d ever met Joe Biden (I have) you’d know even Dubya (who was dumb as a brick) was smarter than Biden.

He didn’t become a billionaire because he was dumb. Building things, you know things all the politicians you love who can’t seem to figure out what a woman is have never done.
