The EC system was genius and is the best election system in the history of democracy. You realize if there were no EC only states like Cali,TX, and NY would dominate the Presidential election cycle.

Its worked great for over 200 years. Best country in the history of man.

If its not working to suit you find a better country don' screw up this one.

If Trump is cheated out of the Presidency, I hope all Trump voters will take a leave of absence from their jobs until the democrats starve.

If we had a congressional vote today to eliminate the electoral college, does anyone think the tiny states in the northeast would actually vote to support it? They are the most blue states, but they would not support the measure.

Even if the democrats held supermajorities, they would not vote for it, because they know they would be voting for their own demise. Can you imagine small states like Connecticut, Vermont, and Maine supporting such nonsense?

They would never want to give that power to New York and California...case fricking closed.

That is the genius of the EC system it gives even the smallest states relevance in electing the president. Using the pre-election polling however flawed, there were several possible outcomes that would have had New Hampshire or Maine deciding the outcome. The candidate has to win states to get elected, the popular vote is meaningless and the continued discussion of it is just a waste of time.

Name a single conflict of ANY significant size that these blue helmeted "troops" have won.

Anti-climactic most likely, J. There are two Groups who are delusional enough to start real trouble...BLM and the Occupy Wall St. Student bunch.

Trump is going to do good things within the Urban Community, and have good spokes-people out trumpeting it. He'll marginalize/isolate the Soros Thugs, and make short work of them. He'll likely get 25% of the Black vote if he runs in '20.

Re the Students/OWS...just talk of redoing their Debt - which is inevitable anyway - and giving them work and an out instead of a CRIMINAL RECORD will be sufficient to buy time and ward off escalating violence there too.

I expect Trump to give a 'fireside speech' not long after the vote is certified, taking the wind out of the sails of the only two Groups that can really cause trouble. Especially if Obama fails to, or worse, encourages civil disruption. Trump can call Obama out, and point to Allepo as the result of (Obama's) inaction...and hang any violence around his legacy neck.

Merry Christmas J.

It would be open season on the Blue Helmets. Many Americans would hesitate to fight their way through a roadblock manned by police or the Guard , because they are just doing their jobs.

The UN Troops would be dead within a week. NO ONE would hesitate to blow them away and they would be terribly outnumbered from Day 1.

A lot of Lefties would be in hiding or on the run. Ones such as Moore, the faithless electors themselves, and all these people pressuring the electors would probably be facing the noose or worse.

The country IS already ripped apart. And has been for 8 years, since we first elected the narcisstic, condescending race baiter that now sits in the WH.
