Looks like we are putting everything back in place and kicking the can down the road to mid December end of Jan. ?
I guess time to make a longer term deal… but not at expense of jobs.. air safety etc..???
Am I missing something?

So the Republicans caved on SNAP! Complete cow manure. We know it's a waste of money, we know it's rife with abuse and corruption, but let's waste taxpayer money on it anyway.
I DID NOT VOTE FOR THIS!

And I’ll go to work on Monday morning and pay my tax burden just like I have for the past month or so since this “crisis” begin.
If the government was shut down, why were we still paying taxes?
In a just world, this “crisis” would’ve been resolved with heads being mounted on pikes throughout the Potomac Beltway.
NOTE TO FBI TROLL TASKED WITH MONITORING THIS BOARD: This post is not suggesting violence toward any politician. It is metaphorical in nature.

Why are you saying they caved? Dems wanted 1.5 trillion in spending added back. This is a 100% victory if that spending wasn't added back in.
Snap is an entirely different issue that had nothing to do with the shutdown.
We won't really know who caved until the new CR is voted on but if 1.5 trillion was kept off the books, this is a win.

I'm sorry but you sound like stupid nancy: we won't know until we see it. Sheesh!
If agreeing to fully fund SNAP sweetened the deal for the dumbocrats then the Rs caved. Full stop.

Take a wild guess! What is this thread about?!?! Ok, now what is the subject of the sentence/title of the thread? See, there, a little refresher on basic grammar should make it all clear for you.

Are you a moron? I said we don't know the full details yet. Like it isn't fully reported yet you nitwit.
And no the 1.5 trillion had nothing fricking to do with snap. But keep acting like the hysterical woman you must be in real life. Geez. Chill the F out until the actual fracking details are known.

You are acting like a hysterical and emotional woman. You are normally more reasonable than this.

Does this need to go back to the house or no?
Yes, it is not the same as the bill that already passed the House. Few changes around SNAP and also the date of the extension.
House might not pass this with the crap the Senate is pulling...

I'm sorry that your experience with whatever women are in your life has made you such an uncivilized vulgar being.

Ummm, I do keep much more informed, fyi.
Posted on 11/9/25 at 7:02 pm to TDTOM
Bottom line IS that if SNAP full extension was used as an inducement for the dems, then the deal stinks from the get-go. I don't know how much more 'reasonable' than that I can phrase it.

Completely pointless shutdown.
The only thing democrats got are reversals of things that came about because of the shutdown.
The promise to vote isn’t even meaningful because that’s what the GOP has been saying this whole time- to negotiate it later this year.
Just stupid to put the country through a shutdown for 40 days. It feels like they only did it so they can say the two longest shutdowns have come under Trump.

Let me guess - Trump caved in like a TACO
Posted on 11/9/25 at 7:03 pm to IT_Dawg
The only real change to SNAP is saying it’s fully funded for the fiscal year, so it won’t lapse funding if there’s another shutdown. It’s not even a concession. Don’t know why people are melting over that.
Posted on 11/9/25 at 7:06 pm to conservativewifeymom
Just to be clear, you very specifically voted for Trump so he could end the SNAP program?
