People are too scared to say how they really feel... To be exposed as a lunatic and losing their jobs... Sickos are losing their jobs over expressing their displeasure of Trump surviving the assassination attempt.. Now Jack Black was on stage last night making a birthday wish that Trump gets killed the next time.. I hope he pays the price...

We only talk politics a little bit. Most guys in the buildings are right or right leaning because it's a production and warehouse facility. In my office there are a couple lefties.
One just said he wants out of this timeline. He mentioned the videos of people pointing out the shooter on the roof and the cops doing nothing about it. Seemed to agree it was a complete failure by SS and agents should be resigning.
Another mentioned how this is the best thing for Trump. If a similar thing would have happened to Biden then Biden would have gained momentum.
A purchaser I work with who leans right has had to contact a supplier rep who has been extremely late on some parts told me the rep said "too bad the shooter missed." He just brushed it off because we really need their parts for a product line and we don't have a backup supplier.

Just had a conversation with a liberal co-worker (former military). We're both of the belief this was due to an unacceptable level of negligence by security management. We both like the message of "we all need to calm it down" which seems to have the most traction.
He would like to see a joint presser from Biden and Trump denouncing such actions, I told him that's never going to happen (from either camp). I told him I believe Trump's re-writing of his RNC speech will be to discuss the shooting in terms of "this is unacceptable, we need to calm it down a bit", he doesn't think Trump can do that.
Instead of shooting one another, we moved onto other aspects of the topic because that's what rational people do.

A few of them were laughing at people calling it fake. They're saying no way Trump risks himself like that, and I've heard them say F Trump a few times. They fit a category and I'll leave it at that.
