I was just riding down the road pondering the same thing. We were apathetic in our comfort for so long - and really still are - that we let them get too deeply entrenched. I’m all for putting up the good fight, but I’m fairly certain in the end there’s only one way out, and I’m very skeptical it will happen. I really long for the America of my childhood in the 70s and 80s and wish my grandkids didn’t have to live in this bullshite the left has created.

They need to keeping going because they are far from being considered center left. The problem is the news media and the nation has swung so far left that any pushback against the left is met with gnashing of teeth and wailing.

The media simply isn't dominated by the left anymore. Again refer to my post on page 1 that illustrates this in more depth. I'm not typing it all out again for you.

The crazy thing is when conservatives do protest, many conservatives here call them stupid. So, what do conservatives actually want? Because there seems to be a lot of internal conflict.

So when someone starts a thread here on health care and about 95% of the respondents want the "government to fix it," many specifically advocating for single payer care, or the Republicans to come up with "an alternative system for the ACA," how is that different than what Democratic Socialists want?

They’re going to win in the long run because of demographics.
They will continue to open borders and allow in more people (who will either vote directly or create generations that will vote for taxpayer-funded benefits, “free” healthcare, etc…) than can be removed in 4 or 8 year terms.
