If he doesn't then any Senators in my district that vote against will have at least one vote against them in their next election.

BK is going to say he was never at a party with this women and never touched her.
He will be very believable and things will swing back to his favor.

Said it then and I'll say it now...this is who Trump should have gone with all along. We wouldn't be having this circus.
Yes we would.
They would have manufactured some other bullshite about Barrett to be outraged over.
Nothing creates outrage in this political climate like allegations of sexual assault. Oh sure, the Dems are going to be outraged simply because she isn't Merrick Garland. But you would still be keeping Collins, Murkowski, and Flake in the fold, and probably get Manchin and Heitkamp also.
Like it or not, in the current political climate, you have to take the whole MeToo bullshite out of the equation. Don't even give them a chance to go there.

Well, that sounds good, but who are we talking about here? Jeff Flake?
Senators in your "district"? I'm not sure you know how all this works.

If Kavanaugh doesn’t get confirmed how could the Republicans ever get anyone confirmed
Yes, but they need to open up their search radius of qualified judges. Why is it that they can only nominate guys from the D.C. Circuit.....the pols know these guys. Bring in someone from the middle of the country, I guarantee you won't get this type of shite.....you'll get shite, but not like this

What's up with all the losers wanting to kiss the feet of the Dems in this thread?
Good god people, what is wrong with you? Kavanaugh should've been the nominee and deserved every bit of it, nut up!!!

Flake is an automatic "NO" for any office for me.
I initially wrote Congressional Reps but changed it to senators and did not change district to state.
I am very well aware of how this works and how it is supposed to work.

He's in. Lots of bluster and blah blah blah, new accusers whatever.
Cocaine Mitch bringing this to the floor and Kavanaugh gets through.
One thing Republicans can agree on is that they not going through this shite again anytime soon.

No way! Trump needs to vet better once againYes! Next nominee must be investigated from birth. Every single day of their life should be looked at under a microscope. Every single person they ever met, spoke to, or knew them by six degrees must be interviewed!
Vetting does not improve anyone's chances against blatant lies.

I still think he's getting confirmed but my confidence is waning. I'm starting to see a possibility this playing out wo him as our next SCJ. My money is still on yes, but crazier things have happened.

If Mitch has the votes they will vote next week.
If the votes are not there they hold off and Trump asks the FBI to investigate.
The results of the investigation will be positive toward BK and give the Republicans cover to vote him in.
If the Democrats win the senate there will not be a Judge until a Democratic president noiminates one.

They'll vote if the votes are there or not. Shows the GOP kept the fight and if it fails, have the next option ready to roll. Mitch and Co don't really want this to get into an FBI investigation.

I say no. It’s over for K.

So...you're saying you won't vote for Flake in his reelection bid if he votes no?

At this very moment (12:28 Thursday) I think he will not be confirmed.
Should he? yes, absolutely.
Will he? I don't think so.
Unfortunately, our society has morphed from free-form critical thinkers to emotionally charged decision making.
This is not a court of law. This is not a court of credibility.
This is a court of emotion. The loudest child in the room wins the tit, every single time.
As of 3:30 Thursday, I respectfully update my position:
He will definitely be confirmed.
I will drink beer in his honor and it will be glorious.
